At 2pm on August 24, 2001, over 10 practitioners started their 72-hour hunger strike in front of the Chinese Embassy in Japan. They urged Jiang Zemin's regime to immediately release practitioners who are on hunger strike in the Masanjia labor camp. More practitioners joined the hunger strike later.
