1. Holding a Candlelight Vigil and Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts in Front of the Chinese General Consulate
On the evening of August 10, Sydney practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese General Consulate to mourn the practitioners who were tortured to death in China. The candlelight vigil was from 5 pm to 7 pm, before their group study. They also sent forth their righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil beings. A twenty-year-old young westerner passing by their field of righteous thoughts said to a practitioner, "I saw it, I know your energy is very strong. Keep going and good luck to you."
2. Promoting Dafa and Clarifying the Truth in Chinatown
a. "Jiang Zemin perpetrated every kind of villainy, receiving retribution is his inevitable end"
On the following day, Saturday, August 11, practitioners went to Chinatown to promote Dafa. While a practitioner was collecting signatures, a father who had signed also asked his daughter to sign. He explained, "Jiang Zemin's regime has persecuted Falun Gong. Falun Gong is appealing for humanitarian help." Suddenly, he turned to the practitioner and said without thinking, "Jiang's regime will soon come to an end." The practitioner was surprised by his words and asked, "How do you know?" The westerner, however, asked in turn, "How do you know?" The practitioner said, "It's natural for practitioners to know the principle of 'good meets good and evil ends up with evil'. Everyday people also know this. Jiang Zemin perpetrated every kind of villainy, so receiving retribution is his inevitable end." Now, even everyday people are able to say something like this because Jiang's regime has completely lost people's trust.
b. "Jiang Zemin had an eight-month child killed!"
Around 6pm on the same night, along came a group of Chinese junior and high school summer camp students. A dozen were standing in front of the truth-clarifying board and a TV set. They had a lively discussion and three or four of them could not help shouting repeatedly, "Jiang Zemin had an eight-month child killed!" On the other side, some students who were deeply deceived by the lies and propaganda spread by Jiang's regime were shouting and wanted to tear the truth-clarifying board into pieces. A practitioner said, "This is Australia, not China." Another practitioner who was standing in the middle of the students calmly spoke out, explaining the truth to them. Meanwhile, other practitioners sent forth their righteous thoughts. At that moment, the principal came over and asked all the students to go inside a restaurant for dinner. A while later, however, the student who took the lead in making trouble came out of the restaurant and said to a practitioner, "Give me a newspaper, we want to read the news about Falun Gong."
