Hundreds of Falun Dafa practitioners from around Australia celebrated the first National Falun Dafa Day in the country's capital--Canberra. The map of Australia was formed by practitioners to symbolize the presence of Falun Dafa in the country during the last seven years. Also, given that Australians formed the map, it was an opportunity to show that there are many practicing in this country and many more to come.

Four thousand red paper pinwheels, hand-made by practitioners, outlined the map of Australia and formed a red border in the pictures. They rotated as the wind blew, similar to the motion of the Falun energy. This was totally designed and set-up by practitioners hoping to spread the message of the beauty of Falun Dafa.

Government officials and all media were supportive of the big day and there was nation-wide coverage.

Practitioners came from the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Mittagong, Wollongong, the Blue Mountains and so on.

A fog that covered the entire city appeared to be never-ending; however practitioners sent out their righteous thoughts to clear the clouds and within half an hour everything cleared. This enabled a helicopter to take the amazing photographs and footage.

We hope that practitioners around the world, and particularly those in China, will be able to share this moment that was so precious and tranquil.

We would especially like to thank a Senator's aid for providing access to all media in the press gallery, and for the opportunity to obtain photos and footage of the day's events.
