In Northern China, I got in touch with some family members and relatives of Dafa practitioners. Although they are not practitioners themselves, they help and support Dafa in any way they can.
I. Assisting Dafa generously with money.
There is a family of three members. The father and son are practitioners. The wife knows Dafa is good too, but she said she doesn't have the perseverance to cultivate. However, for things like promoting Dafa, clarifying the truth, and exposing the evil, she gave them a lot of support. Every time her husband took some small amount of money to print Dafa materials, she would let him take more. When her husband took 300 Yuan RMB, she insisted he take 500 Yuan; when her husband took 500 Yuan, she insisted he take 800 Yuan or 1000 Yuan. After her husband was sent to a labor camp after peacefully appealing in Beijing, she continued to support Dafa as always. One time a fellow practitioner went to her home to ask her if she had any concerns or needed any help. She gave this practitioner another 500 Yuan to print Dafa materials. Her deeds have touched many practitioners.
II. Giving Protection to his wife who was clarifying the truth.
After his wife practiced Falun Gong, the husband (a police officer) saw obvious benefits to her body and mind. Whenever his wife went out to distribute the truth about Dafa, he wore the police uniform to accompany and protect her. When his wife went into a building to pass out Dafa materials, he would stand outside to guard her. When his wife went into an alley to pass out flyers, he would stand sentry in front of the alley.
III. The supervisor of the detention center was moved to tears.
When his wife was cultivating Dafa, the husband didn't support her. After his wife got caught when she went to Beijing to appeal, the husband realized that his wife had really improved a lot after she started practicing. So he went to the detention center to ask for his wife's release. He told the supervisor and the guards about his wife's change after she practiced Falun Gong. Even the supervisor was moved to tears.
IV. Whether they were practitioners or not, the whole family was handing out Dafa materials.
There is a family of three generations. Some are practitioners and some are not. They all agree that what Minghui Net publishes is the truth. They all think that the people in China are extremely miserable because they are fooled by the fabricated TV news. This family made a decision: handing out Dafa materials would be the duty of the whole family. The grandmother is not a practitioner, but she is strong when passing out flyers. Once she fell down and broke her arm in three places. Because of her goodness, she healed without treatments.
V. He participates in all things relating to Dafa.
There is a family of three members. The mother and daughter are practitioners, but the husband doesn't practice. However, concerning things of Dafa, like promoting Dafa, handing out Dafa materials, passing out messages, or passing out the new articles of Master Li, there is nothing that he won't do. He has no complaints, no matter how far the distance. Sometimes practitioners joked with him, "You are handing out Dafa materials and spraying words. What if you get caught?" He said, "Then I will say I am a Falun Gong practitioner. Otherwise people would wonder why I am handing out the flyers if I am not a Falun Gong practitioner. If I get detained, I will say I will not practice anymore." When he saw that many practitioners wrote " Solemn Statements" to annul their previously written "Guarantee" denouncing Dafa he said, "what's the use of writing "statements" if later you still fail to meet the requirements of a Dafa practitioner?" Hearing his words, practitioners made up their minds that they would never say anything that harmed Dafa after they wrote the "solemn statements," and that they would strive to be genuine practitioners.
