The anti-Falun Gong forces at the Heizuizi Labor Camp of Changchun City, Jilin Province, have been resorting to various means to persecute Dafa practitioners under the name of "Re-education", "Transformation", and "Salvation". There are countless instances of persecution in each of the six labor teams of this camp.
Practitioners in Team No.3 worked 15 to 16 hours a day. Every day they were required to work overtime from four o'clock in the morning until ten or eleven-thirty at night. Sometimes the prison guards added their personal work to the workload and practitioners had to work until midnight or even later. Besides, all the work was done under such great pressure that practitioners often fainted. When inspectors of higher rank came, non-practitioners were sent out to work instead of practitioners. When a guard went to the toilet, dozens of practitioners were asked to vacate the room for him, though his toilet was on the other side. Those people would have been of no disturbance to him at all. Practitioners being severely beaten were warned by the head of the labor camp and chiefs of labor teams not to discuss it with others.
Because she refused to sign papers renouncing Dafa, practitioner Chen Jingru from Group One of Team No.3 was beaten and shocked many times with an electric baton. There are still wounds left on her body today.
For the same reason, another practitioner, Li Shixia was beaten by Chief Xi and Prison Guard Jin with a big electric baton. Several guards beat and kicked her with their fists and feet. They held the electronic baton on her neck for more than half an hour, forcing her to announce whether she preferred Dafa or the Communist Party. She said she wanted Dafa, so they beat her again until she passed out twice. She suffered incontinence as a result of this beating. Frequent beatings (because Li often did the Falun Gong exercises in her cell) had turned her body into a skeleton. But when she was sent back from being beaten this time, inmates found her neck as thick as her face and covered with blackened burns as if it had been cooked on a grill. There were wounds on her body, too. The flesh in her mouth came away in strips. She couldn't eat. But her mouth miraculously recovered in a day. She couldn't move and lay in bed for several days. When she recovered a little, she had to prop herself up to work again. Fatigue made the pain in her neck more acute and kept her awake all night. Despite of that, she had to get up to work every day. Still, Chief Xi wouldn't let her go and continued to push her, not even allowing her to sit down for a rest.
Practitioners are good people, yet they received such brutal treatment.
