The 2001 Western U.S. Falun Dafa Conference held in Los Angeles, California was successfully concluded today. About 2,000 people from North American, Asian-Pacific and European countries attended the second day of the conference at Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California.
The conference auditorium looked stately and harmonious. A large picture of Master Li was hung in the middle of the podium with two Falun emblems on both sides. The auditorium was surrounded by an array of colorful Falun Dafa flags. During the one-day event, experience sharing reports from practitioners in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Australia, Taiwan, Canada and United States were presented at the conference. Their reports described the positive changes they had experienced after they started practicing Falun Dafa, their experiences of overcoming the tribulations and how they had stepped forward to promote Dafa and clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to the public. A couple of practitioners reported the mistreatments they had received in detention centers in China as a result of the persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners at the conference called upon the world community to help to stop the escalated violence and turmoil instigated by Chinese President Jiang Zemin against Falun Gong practitioners in China. The conference was conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner. Many practitioners felt that it was very beneficial and had helped them deepen their understanding of Dafa.
