Thank you very much for your letter concerning Falun Gong.

As you know, my Party and I have aggressively pursued this issue, and have asked the Prime Minister to bring this up with the Chinese government. To the best of my knowledge, his interventions have been very lukewarm.

There was a large display of Falun Gong on Parliament Hill this Fall, and I think it brought the plight of practitioners in China to the attention of the general public.

We will continue to pursue this, Andrea. You may use this letter in any way you see fit, as you know my feelings in support of your cause.
