EASING THE PRESSURE ON PRACTITIONERS IN CHINA
On October 6th, the Australian Council for Overseas Aid passed a resolution calling on the Chinese government to release all Falun Gong practitioners illegally detained.
On September 5th, the Canadian Member of Parliament Mr. Jean-Yves ROY from Matapedia Matane area sent a letter to the Canadian foreign minister expressing his support for Falun Gong practitioners' efforts to protect human rights.
On October 25th, the French newspaper Observateurdu Cambresis reported the arrival in Paris of four participants in the "SOS Global Walk." Throughout their journey, which began in Iceland, these walkers exposed the tortures that Falun Gong practitioners in China have been enduring.
Texas State Congresswoman Jessica Farrar proclaimed October 12th to be Falun Dafa Day in District 148 in Houston, citing that Falun Dafa improves people's bodies, minds & spirits.
On October 29th, New York State Congressman Robert Prentiss issued a letter praising Falun Dafa and Falun Gong practitioners' participation in the "SOS! Urgent Rescue Walk."
In an annual meeting of the News Corp. held by the Murdoch family, the Australian newspaper Crikey Media reported that a Falun Gong spokesman exposed the terrorism practiced against Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese government.

RECENT PERSECUTION OF PRACTITIONERS AND ATTEMPTS TO DISTURB FALUN GONG ACTIVITIES
The 610 Office in Shandong Province kidnapped Falun Gong practitioners and took them to brainwashing classes in Wangcun. While there, practitioners were deprived of sleep and forced to endure ongoing psychological torture.
On October 13, four Dafa practitioners validated Dafa at Tiananmen Square, carrying high a banner reading, "Falun Dafa is Great." Three of them were arrested. With righteous thoughts in their minds, and without following any of the evil's demands, they were released after several days' detention.
On October 25, two practitioners from an unknown place went to Tiananmen Square with strong righteous thoughts, unfurled a banner that read, "Falun Dafa is Great," and shouted out loud "Falun Dafa is great, Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa, Restore the reputation of Teacher." Their deeds powerfully shocked the evil.
A practitioner from a city in Anhui Province smiled at a pedestrian who was standing behind him while he was posting a flyer reading, "Falun Dafa is Great" on an advertisement board outside a busy restaurant.
Recently, practitioners in Anhui Province posted Dafa flyers along dozens of streets and lanes, on public telephone booths, and in residential areas. Some of flyers were posted even on police cars. Some flyers still remain untouched after a month.
Recently, a mass of Falun Dafa truth-clarifying flyers appeared on the streets and lanes in a city of Liaoning Province.
Also recently, practitioners, Liu Zhe, Zhao Guifeng, Zhang Yufeng, were transferred to Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center. From the internal news in the judicial system, the evil forces are planning to relocate all Falun Dafa practitioners from other detention centers to the No. 3 Detention Center to apply central persecution.
On October 27, practitioners in a northeastern city launched 11 gigantic balloons with Falun Dafa banners attached at the train station, Center Square, downtown overpass, and the cultural activity center to spread the truth to the public, attracting lots of people.
Dafa practitioner Wang Fengqing (from Benxi City, Liaoning Province), her husband, and her son-in-law were arrested on January 5 this year by Benxi's Worker Police Station director, Deng Zhongwei and policeman, Yang Yong, for hanging Master's picture on the wall in their home. They were illegally sentenced to forced labor "reeducation."
On October 26 and 27, Changchun City [Jilin Province] police unlawfully arrested three practitioners, Wang Tianming, Xing Guiling, and Mao Zengshun. Their whereabouts are unknown.
A practitioner exposed the evil in Beijing Huairou Detention Center: policemen cursed and beat practitioners, plucked out their hair wisp by wisp, beat practitioners who were on a hunger strike to the point of dying, inserted tubes into their stomachs and force-fed them saline solution.
At Beijing Daxing County Detention Center, a practitioner suffered such tortures as being deprived of sleep, being forced to take off all his/her clothes and shoes and stand on cold concrete floor with bare feet, and shocked by electric batons.
A practitioner exposed the evil at Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province: a visitor to a friend was arrested for no reason, tortured every day in the jail, and served two meals a day of rotten pig food Wowotou [steamed bun of sorghum]. He (or she) protested with a hunger strike but was force-fed saline solution.
On October 29, students were forced to watch a Dafa-slandering performance at Nanjiao gas company club, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Some practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil during the performance. Practitioners also distributed a lot of truth-clarifying literature to the deceived students after the performance.
A so-called "Against XX religion" serial TV drama "Lives' Call" started to be produced in Shanghai. The author, Ye Xin, fabricated evil brainwashing persecution as so-called rescue stories. We call for righteous thoughts to eliminate the behind-the-scenes evils.
Today, 61 people announced forced brainwashing to be void, and all the statements against the Fa written under pressure are forever void! They will double their efforts to make up for their mistakes in the Fa-rectification process, and retrieve the loss and harm done to Dafa! An errant practitioner warned: writing a so-called "Guarantee" can only cause one endless pain and regret.
A village official told Dafa practitioners, "I've read the Falun Gong book; it's totally different from what is broadcast on TV. They are absolutely making up facts. I'm sure you will succeed." Because he always said good words about Dafa, his serious diabetes is gone.
A practitioner's neighbor often listens to the truth-clarifying materials, and when she heard of practitioners being tortured to death in labor camps, she said in grief to the practitioner, "You teach me the Fa-rectification verse, I'll help you send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil."
Authorities in Mulan County of Harbin illegally detained a Falun Gong practitioner; while the practitioner was detained, one of his/her unattended children died and another was raped.
A Ukrainian practitioner went on a hunger strike in front of the Chinese Embassy on September 11th, requesting an end of the persecution against Falun Gong. A team of policemen interrupted the hunger strike claiming that they were under orders. They revealed that the Chinese Embassy was putting pressure on them.
On October 27th, practitioners in California were handing out truth clarifying material on the corner of a garden in San Francisco's Chinatown. A man who frequently came to interrupt these practitioners' activities cursed them loudly. People passing by laughed at this man, saying such things to him as "You are really working hard today. Go get some overtime pay from the Chinese Embassy!"

RETRIBUTION IN THIS LIFETIME
Police Sergeant Zhou Chong at the Liangyuan Police Station of Longting District in Kaifeng City, Henan Province was promoted to associate director for his work in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He soon received retribution and was hospitalized for a brain hemorrhage.
Shang Yunhang is the director of the Politics and Security Section in Shenzhou, Hebei Province as well as a member of the 610 Office (an agency specifically created to persecuteáFalun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.). He had planned to search the home of a practitioner on July 20, 2001, but he lost consciousness on the evening of July 19 and was sent to a hospital. He is still unable to go to work, and his colleagues speculate that it was retribution for his persecution of Falun Gong.
Wang Limin, the Associate Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee in Changle County of Weifang City, Shandong Province, is one of the major figures in the persecution of Falun Gong in Changle County. He recently died of cancer at the age of 51.
Mao Jinsheng was the director of the police station in Lequn Town of Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province and active in the persecution of practitioners. He has been removed from his position, and is being investigated for embezzlement.
A person named Zhang who lived on Station Road of Shuangcheng City gave up practicing Falun Gong. Her son, Li Zhendong, then destroyed her Dafa books. Later he had a quarrel with someone and developed a mental disorder. Another person in Shuangcheng City burned Dafa books, and soon after his own hands were burned in an accident.
An official in a village near Shuangcheng City applied great pressure to practitioners, cursing Dafa and Teacher. He has been diagnosed with a terminal case of esophageal cancer, even though he is only in his 40's.
A person in the State Security Bureau in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province was involved in the persecution of practitioners. Recently, the gas station he runs had an explosion, in which 3 people died and 13 were injured.
This incident can serve as a warning for today's events. Liu Chuanxin was the Director of the Beijing Police Department. In 1975, he followed the direction of the former mayor of Beijing, Wu De, to suppress the people attending a memorial gathering in Tiananmen Square. He mobilized a large police force for the violent suppression. After the fall of the "Gang of Four" (Translator's note: a political group who masterminded the Cultural Revolution), Liu Chuanxin committed suicide, dreading punishment for his crime.
VIEWS ON CULTIVATION
The methods for monitoring and blocking of information on the Internet are limited. With some basic knowledge and limited experience, a person who doesn't know how to use a computer can quickly become an "expert" in breaking through the blockade after a short period of learning.

Enlightenment in Cultivation:
When clearing our minds, we can repeat Teacher's words several times and bring into our hearts the idea that "Compassion should arise in the heart, and the facial expression should be peaceful." We can do this according to the situation of the individual practitioner.
In a few words:
The right state in Fa-rectification is "to maintain righteous thoughts at all times." In such a state, every word a practitioner says has the power to touch people's hearts and eliminate the evil.
Enlightenment in Cultivation:
"To live with no pursuits," is not to think of nothing and want nothing, but a state of magnanimity after completely giving up all human attachments. "To die with no regrets" does not mean not to treasure life; it means that death will not be an effective threat to make one give in.
Enlightenment in Cultivation:
"Vow" is a word that carries significant meaning for me. It has a profound meaning and can be traced way back to a long time ago. It is the greatest predestined relationship that the Dafa disciples have with the Lord of Buddhas in the colossal firmament.
Enlightenment in Cultivation:
The ultimate purpose of the old force's contriving the evil arrangements is to destroy Dafa disciples. It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to eliminate with our righteous thoughts the old force hidden in our minds' dimensions and to treasure every Dafa disciple.

NEWS OUTSIDE OF CHINA
Practitioners from Toronto, Canada will hold "Falun Dafa Peace and Goodness Day " on November 3 at City Square. Facilities are being provided by the City Government and they have also obtained support from more than twenty organizations and groups.
On October 26, U S Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) student newspaper, The Tech, dedicated a whole page to report the truth of Falun Gong.
The Dafa information website http://www.falundafa.org.il in Hebrew (Israel) is now open. The video program "SOS Calls Righteous Journey " is available at this website and contains a picture report of practitioner's SOS Walk in South Korea.
The Troy Record (a newspaper in Illinois, US), reported on October 28 that the Global Rescue Walkers told the truth of the persecution of practitioners in China. Shirley Wu said, "My mother is a retired university professor. Because she practices Falun Gong, she was detained for three months."
On the morning of October 29, practitioners from Ireland started an SOS Walk from Dublin City. They planned to pass through the whole country. They will tell the truth to the kindhearted and honest Irish people.
Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney, Australia organized an "SOS Urgent Rescue" Picture Report by driving their cars across Australia. Practitioners were interviewed along the road by local newspapers and TV stations.
An SOS Urgent Rescue Walk in Yilan County, Taiwan ended successfully on October 26. Afterward, they studied Fa and shared experiences for three days and two nights. This inspired them to strive forward more vigorously.

CULTIVATION EXPERIENCES
The twenty-eight year old "head" of the prison cell I was in was a big embezzler, but her heart was moved when she met Dafa practitioners. Now she can recite Hong Yin. I promised her that I would send her Zhuan Falun if I had a chance in the future. She told me her name again and again for fear that I might forget her.
A practitioner stated, "When I went to say my last goodbye to my only good friend, I sat on his bed and opened Zhuan Falun [for the first time]. I read it with great eagerness. The thoughts that I had at the beginning to commit suicide were unknowingly cast to the winds.
A female practitioner was arrested by community patrol people as she was hanging up Dafa banners. She kept righteous thoughts in her heart, told the truth with mercy and did not obey any requirements from the evil. At last she walked out of the police station in a dignified way.
Yangyang helped his grandmother to eliminate evil during the summer and also told his mother, "When Dafa practitioners are persecuted by the evil, they must maintain righteous thoughts. If they have a little uncertainty or doubt towards the Fa, the evil will come at once and control them to do things they should not do."
The story stayed hidden in the heart: "I went to the field to cut wheat when I was nine years old. I saw a benevolent young man sitting in the air and saying, 'Zhen Shan Ren.'" The year he graduated from junior high school, he saw the man again. One day in the fall of 1997, when he watched the video of Master's lectures for the first time, even more miraculous things appeared.
