(Clearwisdom.net) In an effort to pressure all illegally detained Dafa practitioners into writing so-called "pledges (renouncing and slandering Falun Dafa)," the Fifth Brigade of the Gaoyang Labor Camp in Hebei Province relentlessly tortures determined Dafa practitioners by means of severe beatings, electric shocking, forcing them to squat on the ground with handcuffs on for prolonged periods of time, not allowing them to sleep, etc. On April 8, 2001, the labor camp police applied such brutalities to more than 20 female practitioners transferred from Shijiazhuang City. They locked the practitioners in a cold, gloomy, and worn-out workshop. Several dozen police severely beat and shocked the practitioners with electric batons one by one, forcing them to squat down and keep their eyes open. After two days and three nights' of contiunous, director Yang of the Brigade said wickedly to his staff regarding those determined practitioners who had refused to write the "pledges": "Shock them with higher-voltage batons. Do it every half hour."
The Fifth Brigade of Gaoyang Labor Camp used even more brutal means to force Dafa practitioners to give up their cultivation. At each brainwashing class, oftentimes several practitioners would be shocked to the point of losing consciousness. The Male Division of the Fifth Brigade continued to torture seven Dafa practitioners who had refused to write "transformation letters" at the cost of their lives even after forcing them to squat on the ground with both hands cuffed together for nine consecutive days and nights. Even so, the Dafa practitioners braved the tremendous pressure and brutal abuses and remained determined. They refused to comply with any demands or orders from the evil and resisted the evil's persecution by means of hunger strike, etc.
At present, over ten practitioners in the female section have been on hunger strike under high pressure for almost fifty days. Forty Dafa practitioners are validating Dafa and protecting Dafa with their lives under the evil's persecution. Since their lives are in great danger, we call upon all kind-hearted people around the world for humanitarian support.
