A letter to Jiang Zemin from a Western Practitioner in Canada

Dear Mr. President,

I have had the opportunity here in Canada to practice Falun Dafa and it has brought many changes to my life.

I am writing to you to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa, as I understand it.

When Master Li Hongzhi, first brought Falun Dafa to the Chinese people it was welcomed and over 70 million people were practicing. Master Li Hongzhi has given to society the gift of enormous Benevolence. Master Li has pointed out that mankind should be kinder and more selfless and the principles of Zhen Shan Ren foster this. Falun Dafa is good and practitioners are better people for practicing Falun Dafa, this I have no doubt about.

I have been following the events happening in your country and I am dismayed at the cruelty directed at Falun Gong practitioners.

Upon reading the materials available regarding the crackdown on Falun Dafa, directed by you, one is dismayed and unable to comprehend what has caused you to do such dreadful things to your own people and to bring China into such discord.

Daily I read ClearWisdom.net and I am deeply saddened at the deaths and the inhumane treatment that my fellow practitioners are enduring for such a peaceful practice. It is most obvious, Mr. President, through the actions of the practitioners that they are adhering to the principles that Master Li has brought to your society, that of, Zhen Shan Ren. They have no eye for politics and have no bad intentions toward their governmental leaders. Surely this is not a hard thing to recognize.

Mr. President, please look inside your heart and relinquish this crackdown upon your people and return to them their basic human rights.
