The person responsible for the Chinese government's brutality against Falun Gong practitioners, Jiang Zemin, came to Macao on Dec 20, 2000, to celebrate Macao's anniversary of returning to China. Practitioners from Hong Kong realized that this was a precious chance to expose the crimes of the Chinese government and help to clarify the truth to the world.
Considering that it would be difficult to enter Macao around Dec. 20, several practitioners from Hong Kong traveled to Macao over 20 days in advance. During this time, Macao's policemen checked the passes of people walking in the streets in an attempt to keep practitioners from going to the anniversary celebration. Spies and plain clothed policemen followed practitioner's movements 24 hours a day. They also monitored their calls and searched their homes. They treated practitioners in a vicious fashion in an attempt to disrupt the practitioner's plans for validating Dafa and telling the truth to the people in Macao. For those 20 days before the anniversary celebration, we kept a very low profile. We knew that if we left our apartment, the policemen would arrest us. Master said in the article Rationality, "Getting arrested is not the purpose. Validating Dafa is truly glorious - it is to validate Dafa that you come forth. Since you come forth, you should try to succeed in validating the Fa - this is the real purpose of coming forth." From this, we realized it would be better to host a media conference in our apartment than to be arrested after leaving our apartment. With the help of practitioners from Hong Kong, we contacted media companies and successfully held a media conference in the apartment.
During the conference, we wore yellow T-shirts that said: "Falun Rotates Forever; Suffocate the Evil." "Jiang Zemin is killing people as he persecutes Falun Gong!" "Jiang Zemin is guilty!" Over 40 journalists came and recorded the scenes and our words as we spoke from our hearts. Before the conference finished, we received a call telling us that practitioners from Hong Kong had come to Macao to support us. The person said that they were at the Customhouse and wanted us to come pick them up.
With the help of journalists, we headed for Macao's Customhouse in two taxis, wearing our yellow T-shirts along the way. On the way, the policemen who had been following our movements pulled over one of our taxis. The three practitioners in the taxi were forced to go to the police office and were shoved into a room. Then 6 to 7 policewomen forced them to the ground and took off their yellow T-shirts. The practitioners asked, "Why do you do this?" and they replied rudely, "Our boss dislikes your T-shirts!" They then copied the practitioners' passports, and detained them for more than 3 hours until sending them out of the jail.
While all of this was happening, a practitioner from Macao and I in the other taxi arrived at the Customhouse. As soon as we got out of the car, dozens of journalists came to surround us. As we were answering their questions, a plain clothed policemen suddenly pushed through the crowd and tried to pull us away. I pulled his hand off and asked, "Where are you trying to take us? We haven't broken the law, and we won't go with you!" He knew he had no lawful reason to take us away and he was unable to take us away on his own, so he called 8 or 9 other plainclothed policemen to help him. I knew we hadn't broken any of the laws, and they had no right to take us away, so a practitioner and I firmly held our hands together, and kept our ground. The journalists took pictures as they tried to take us away. They rebuked the policemen and said, "If you are police, show your certificates. They haven't broken the law. Why are you trying to take them away?" Upon hearing this, the policemen had no answer. But still, they continued on trying to drag us away. As they dragged us from the crowd, they pushed down several journalists. The journalists clearly felt their rudeness and knew who was right and who was wrong. At last, the policemen dragged us into the Customhouse and prohibited the journalists from entering.
At the Customhouse, we were taken into a room. A man named "Zhen Kao Kiang" in Customs uniform came in, and told us to take out our passports. I said: "I can show you my passport, but you should send me back to Macao first. Because I haven't broken the Law, it is wrong of you to drag me here!" Upon hearing this, he yelled at me in anger, "If you don't show me your passport, I will send you to Gongbei of Zhuhai city at once." I replied to him, "As you like." Seeing that I wasn't frightened, he dashed towards me. He grabbed my shirt by the shoulder and dragged me from my seat, kicking my stomach with his knees and yelling, "Take out your passport or not!?" Facing the bad, I told him in a righteous way without fear, "I won't take out my passport. I know you, and I will sue you!" He was astonished by this, and stopped kicking me. Then several police on site grabbed my handbag. They dug out my passport and copied it, and detained me in the Customhouse for over two hours without any explanation. Then they sent me back to Hong Kong.
These occurrences helped to clarify the truth of Falun Gong to the world. It was also the manifestation of Dafa's mighty power and Master's great compassion, as well as the support from practitioners. Those journalists from Hong Kong now know the truth about the Chinese government's actions. I would like to thank for following their conscience and standing up for the righteous. They exposed the policemen for who they were and let the public understand more of the truth about Falun Gong. I wish from the bottom of my heart that they can obtain the Fa in the future.
