I left the subway station about 9 AM and headed toward Tiananmen Square. On the way there, I saw five policemen wearing black uniforms eyeing each pedestrian that passed by. They questioned every individual who looked to them like a Dafa practitioner. I raised my head high and walked through them successfully.
There were more than ten buses and dozens of police vans and cars lined up at the east side of Tiananmen Square. There were not too many civilians there, however all around the Square there were police in navy blue uniforms, armed police wearing green uniforms, plain-clothes police holding walky-talkies and ruffians with cool-cut hairstyles hired as thugs from the prisons.
Not too long after I arrived, a Dafa practitioner took out his banner and exclaimed "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa". Uniformed and plain-clothes policemen rushed over. They kicked and beat the practitioner. At the same time, an elderly man cried out "Falun Dafa is good...." He then opened his banner calmly towards the crowd. He was calm and full of virtue. A policeman ran over and kicked him to the ground. The practitioner looked up at the evil policeman calmly, who then kicked him in the head twice. Several people pushed the elderly man into a car. People scattered away but some of them were still discussing what they had just seen. Everything then seemed to return back to normal.
Suddenly, the crowd rushed towards the flagpole. At the spot separated by the chain, two big policemen were brutally beating a young male practitioner on the head. They tossed the skinny practitioner up and down. The practitioner's head hit the chain and he fell heavily to the ground, becoming motionless. The heartless policeman was still not satisfied. He then kicked the practitioner's face and head. They then showed no mercy to a white-haired old man who stood nearby. They punched his mouth and kicked his nose with their leather boots. This was all because the old man had said, "Falun Dafa is the true Fa". At that moment, my heart was aching.
Practitioners unrelentingly unfolded their red and yellow banners all over the Square. The voice of "Falun Dafa is good" had not stopped. Plain-clothes police and ruffians were confused. Even though they ran back and forth from the east to the west of the square, they could not stop the voice of universe "Falun Dafa is the true Fa" which was heard all over the square. A female practitioner was pushed to the ground. Plain-clothes police pulled her by the collar and dragged her into a police car. She held the banner firmly with one hand and shouted over and over "Falun Dafa is good". In the center of the square, another more than ten practitioners opened up their banners. They were brutally beaten by the ruthless police and ruffians. While beating the practitioners with evil smiles, the police shouted, "How dare you shout! How dare you shout!" They threw practitioners to the ground and walked all over them. They hailed police cars to come over. Many police vans left full of practitioners. A pedestrian exclaimed, "so many practitioners..."
Suddenly a touching scene unfolded in front of me. A mother and her three children who were about five to six years old exclaimed, "Falun Dafa is good!" Plainclothes police rushed over. They slapped the children's cheeks. They seized the mother's neck and covered her mouth tightly with their hands. The mother struggled and uttered word by word, "Falun Dafa is good!." The crowd shouted angrily, "They even beat the children!" When the plain-clothes policeman stopped hitting the children, the three children cried out with all their strength "Falun Dafa is good!" Their delicate voices broke thourgh the evil's bonds and burst into people's remaining conscience. At this moment, I could no longer hold back my tears.
More and more people came to the Square. The cultivation stories of Dafa practitioners who came out to validate Fa were told one by one in front of people...
On the first day of the new millennium, history witnessed the evil of Jiang Zemin and his followers in Tiananmen Square!
