After Falun Gong was wrongfully banned, some policemen and public security personnel in Beijing committed ethical crimes while willingly serving as others tools to persecute innocent citizens. With such a situation in China's capital, can you imagine the human rights of the whole country? It is a pity that those who misbehaved forgot the heavenly principle of "reap what one sows." The following are some factual records of Beijing Public Securitys brutality against Falun Gong practitioners.
After Falun Dafa was wrongly declared a cult, Ms. Zhang Xibin, 44, was arrested several times for appealing, holding a banner at Tiananmen Square, and doing Falun Gong exercises at a park. This April she was detained in the West City Public Security Branch because she displayed a banner that read, "Fa Rectifies the Universe," at Tiananmen Square. In her jail cell, she and six other practitioners were forced to stand up for 10 hours a day for four days, since they refused to recite the prison regulations. During her 15-day detainment, Ms. Zhang was on a hunger strike for all 15 days. Meanwhile, she was force-fed four times. Each time she bled from her nose and mouth. Public Security called in her family members to persuade her to give up her belief. But Ms. Zhang insisted that Falun Dafa is of prime importance to her. Public Security had no way to shake off a genuine practitioner's firm belief in the greatest truth, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
This April, to speak out for Falun Dafa, Ms. Wang Xueying, 40, went to display a banner at Tiananmen Square. The Square Public Security arrested her. She refused to tell them who she was. So she was handcuffed and confined alone in a room. That night she was scolded and beat for hours. She reported this brutality to the authorities, but they said their investigation concluded no such thing happened. Then Ms. Wang was transferred to the West City Public Security Branch. There she refused to recite the prison regulations and protested with a hunger strike. The police directed the head prisoner to beat her and not to let her sleep, whereby she was forced to stand for four days and four nights. After moving to another jail cell, she again had to stand for two days and two nights for refusing to recite the prison regulations. During her continuing hunger strike of 12 days, Ms. Wang was force-fed by 10-plus policemen. Ms. Wang is currently detained for one year at the Paradise River Labor Camp for "leading others to go on hunger strikes."
Ms. Bai Yiulang, 60, was detained a few times due to her actions to protect Falun Dafa. Her health was excellent at first during the hunger strike at the West City Public Security Branch. But then she became sick after being force-fed. Some additives in the fluid caused her to vomit, have diarrhea, dizziness, and a dry mouth, etc. This time she was found doing Falun Gong exercises. As the guard told her to stop exercising, she answered, "In 15 minutes I'll be done." Then Ms. Bai was sent to the labor camp for showing "no courtesy to the police" during this incident.
Around the Lunar New Year, Ms. Zen Baosuan was arrested the second time and sent to Chaoyang Public Security Branch. During her previous 50-day detainment, she insisted on practicing cultivation. They beat her and cuffed her feet. She was also handcuffed with one hand up and another hand down behind her back. The police asked her whether she would give up her practice. When she said no, they tortured Ms. Zen by twisting the handcuffs. One prisoner in the same jail was impressed by the practitioners firm belief. She tried to understand Falun Dafa. After learning that Dafa teaches people to be good and to become better people, the prisoner started to do Falun Gong exercises together with the practitioners. And then she was also handcuffed and beat by the prison guards.
This Lunar New Year's Eve, many Falun Gong practitioners went to Tiananmen Square. Most practitioners were detained in the Square Public Security Branch. There, as the practitioners displayed the banners, the police beat them with electric clubs while their eyes were punched. During this sad scene, the practitioners did not hit back or talk back but endured it with the intention to protect others. More small portable banners were displayed inside a layer of bodies of other practitioners at their front line. The policemen turned pale as they continued the senseless beating. Other policemen who could no longer stand it then stopped the inhumane action. So the Falun Dafa banners continued to be displayed for a few hours at the branch station. But when those practitioners were transferred to another branch, the police could not find any banner at all under their careful body search. Perhaps due to the magic power of Dafa! In the jail cell of the Morning Sun Public Security Branch station, there were 20 practitioners and 10 other prisoners. It was so crowded that people could only lie on their sides to sleep with six others sleeping on the cement floor.
On June 26, 2000, a 53-year-old female was jailed at Miyuan station. During the interrogation on the 27th, one uniformed and another plain-clothed policeman beat her. Her face was hit, and her hands and back were beaten with shoes. Then the policemen brought out the electric club and found that it had no power. But they still used the club to hit the lady practitioner on her hands and hip. The policemen also kicked her legs. When she was out of the jail, her body from the waist down to her legs was all battered, and there were patches of hardened thick layers of her skin.
