Wang Daling was a villager at the Democracy Village in the township of Suqiao (Langfang City, Wenan County, Hebei Province). Her home phone number is 86-3016-5311275. Because she is a Falun Gong practitioner who went to Beijing twice to appeal for Dafa, she has been sentenced to three years in a labor camp. Now she is being held at the Shijiazhuang Womens Labor Camp (4th Regiment, 2nd Squadron, 4th Squad).

Daling gained tremendous benefits through cultivation and upgrading Xinxing (mind or heart nature; moral character) in Falun Gong. The chronic disease that she had suffered from for years completely disappeared; her relationship with her family became better and better; she was on good terms with her neighbors; her life was close to being perfect. Ms. Wang knows from her own first-hand experience how many benefits the Dafa has brought her. However, in July 1999, some individuals in the government began their brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. Hundreds of millions of good people were turned into the imaginary enemies of the government. As a Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Wang could no longer sit at home and allow the evil to continue.

She went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa on September 9th, 1999. That morning she was arrested while only restfully sitting on a lawn near Tiananmen Square. She was brought back to her hometown by the local police, and remained handcuffed throughout the night. She was sent to the local detention center on September 10th and given a 15-day sentence. However, fearing that she would go to Beijing again, the police refused to release her at the end of the term, and held her for a total of 34 days .

Ms. Wang returned to Beijing on the afternoon of October 16th, 1999. Around 8:00 p.m., she was once again arrested while simply resting on a bench at the West Changan Ave. An old lady in her 60s was arrested along with her. Ms. Wang was pulled to the ground by the police, and dragged into the police van. Both women were detained at the Tiananmen Police Station. On October 17th, Ms. Wangs hands were handcuffed from the back (a treatment previously only applied to death row inmates ), tied up with a rope, thrown onto the ground, and beaten up by several policemen. She was sent back to her hometown at around 5:00 am on October 18th. Again, she was detained for 15 days. On November 18th, she was sent to the Shijiazhuang Womens Labor Camp, and sentenced to 3 years of hard labor.

Studying Fa and practicing Falun Gong exercises are not allowed at the labor camp. Practitioners held in the same cell are not allowed to chat, and even simply sitting together is forbidden. Sometimes practitioners are beaten and cursed at by the "monitors" ("well-behaved" convicts selected to watch other inmates) for just wanting to go to the restroom. They are forced to work 17 to 18 hours per day, often from 6:00 am in the morning to 11:00 pm or midnight. One time they were forced to work for three days continuously, with only 1 hour of rest each day. In the labor camp, the prisoners are treated like machines running at high speed and hardly have time to rest. Because practicing Falun Gong exercise was impossible, few people could stand the high-intensity physical labor without getting enough rest. Their health deteriorated significantly. They requested to have an 8-hour workday according to the regulations in the "Chinese Labor Law". But the head of the Regiment openly declared that it was impossible. It is yet another good example of how the law enforcement violates the laws.

Beginning on March 12th, 2000, Dafa practitioners were punished for daring to request an 8-hour workday. They were forced to stand straight up facing the wall everyday from 6:00 AM until midnight, sometimes even longer. After having to stand like that for more than ten days, the practitioners legs became severely swollen. Beginning on March 28th, the practitioners were forced to march, run, and perform calisthenics endlessly. In addition, the practitioners faced verbal and physical beatings continuously. At any moment, anyone could be sent to the office to be "interrogated". There, they were tortured by face slapping, baton beating, electric club shocking and rope fastening.

When the practitioners recited Fa and practiced Falun Gong exercise together, they were often physically punished. For example, Ms. Wang was dragged on the floor by the hair until locks of her hair were pulled out. Zheng Baohua often received bloody noses, and Bai Lili passed out after one of her beatings. Once when Ms. Wang was taken to the office, she was tied with ropes and beaten furiously with batons by the police. She could not bear the pain and passed out several times, and she was severely bruised. Meanwhile, the heads of the regiment stood nearby, indifferent and unconcerned. When she was eventually set free from the rope, her arms were numb, and her heartbeat was fast and irregular. Although her breathing was short and shallow, and she was on the verge of passing out, the police still forced her to drill. When she tried to go to sleep at night, it was so painful that she could only lie down on her stomach. A few days later, Ms. Wang was taken to the office again and asked whether she accepted the forced labor "re-education". When she said "no", she was beaten all over with a baton; once, she was even hit with a hammer.

Labor camp wardens have gone to extremes to persecute practitioners. On April 28th, heartbreaking cries could be heard from a cell. It came from Bai Lili, who was being beaten up by other inmates. She became dizzy and could not hear anything. Practitioners in nearby cells could not hold their tears when the cries were heard. Why were innocent practitioners persecuted so mercilessly? According to the law of the state and the principles of the world all over, this kind of atrocity should not be tolerated! Despite this display of wickedness, the practitioners do not hesitate to sacrifice everything, including their lives, to tell the truth to the people, to validate and safeguard Dafa.

On April 28th, the same day Bai Lili was beaten, 52 Dafa practitioners started a hunger strike, hoping to gain a reasonable environment to cultivate Falun Dafa. On May 1st, the police moved 18 practitioners to the 3rd Regiment to better monitor them. Because they were forbidden to practice Falun Gong, they defied the rule by reciting "Hong Yin" (the collection of Master Lis poems) while sitting in the double-lotus position. Soon, the police rushed over to pull their legs apart and beat them up. Each day, they recited the poems, and each day they were tortured. One day, several police beat Ms. Wang because she had practiced Falun Gong exercises. They threw her into a bed and then pressed her face down, with her mouth and nose stopped up by clothes. She struggled to no avail and almost passed out due to the suffocation. She was not released until the head of Regiment interfered. Her face was blue, and her breathing was fast and shallow. She felt that she could no longer bear the torture and thought of dying she tried to bash her head against the wall. Someone stopped her and others came to press her to the ground. She was then dragged by the feet to a small, isolated room and left there handcuffed. Because she was pulled too forcefully, her lower back was injured severely. Even standing and walking became difficult for her. The police began the force-feeding on May 5th. Ms. Wang was dragged and pushed to the feeding room by several convicts, then she was pressed onto the bed and force-fed through a tube. The warden said that if she didnt start to eat after the feeding, she would be force-fed again. Since there were too many practitioners, they had difficulty remembering who had been force-fed already and who had not. One day practitioner Zheng Baohua had already eaten breakfast in the morning but was force-fed before noontime. The feeding tube couldnt be inserted into the esophagus; instead, it was inserted into her trachea. Everything she ate in the morning was spewed out, and she started to spit mouthfuls of blood. It was clear that her life was in great danger, and the convicts present were frightened. However, the warden still encouraged them and told them to "keep up the force-feeding as long as shes not dead".

In the labor camp, a practitioner would be beaten if found meditating, even in the middle of the night. But as cultivators, how could the principles of cultivation be given up? Practitioners sit in meditation everyday, and as a result the physical abuse becomes a daily routine. Ms. Wangs fingers were bent by other inmates toward the opposite direction of the joints and became misshapen. Zheng Baohuas eyes bled from blows to the head. However hard they tried to frighten Dafa practitioners, the practitioners determination to practice cultivation never wavered. Practitioners overcame the pressure and kept studying the Fa and practicing the exercises everyday. Since the torture didnt work, the police changed to handcuffing the practitioners to stop them from studying and practicing. Some were handcuffed to the leg of a table in a squatting position for long periods, lasting up to entire days. Some were handcuffed and hung on the window. It was said that whoever practiced Falun Gong would be hung for 7 days. Practitioner Fan Lixin, who had been in a hunger strike for several days, was hung from noon to 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Practitioner Zhu Hong was handcuffed and hung on the iron door with her toes barely touching the ground.

One day after dinner, Ms. Wang and Bai Lili were beaten up, handcuffed, and hung on the window while the beating continued. In response, Dafa practitioners recited "Hong Yin" together. The police picked up used toilet paper from the rest room wastebasket and stuffed it into Bai Liliis mouth. Then they stuffed toothpaste and soap into other practitioners mouths. They also used indecent means and behaved like hooligans to humiliate Dafa practitioners. How heartless it was to use such shameless means to humiliate innocent and kind-hearted Falun Gong practitioners!

On July 3rd, the 18 practitioners survived their suffering and came back to the 4th Regiment. But the police did not stop their vicious measures. One day when more than 10 practitioners were reciting "Hong Yin", the head of the Regiment commanded a group of convicts to torture them. The convicts used towels to cover practitioners mouths and wring their necks. Several practitioners could not breathe at all and almost suffocated. Next, the convicts stuffed hot pepper powder into practitioners mouth and eyes. Practitioner Zhang Rongjie jumped up and down in pain. Several other practitioners eyes were running with tears. When Ms. Wang called out for help, the head of the 4th Regiment not only didnt intervene, instead remarked that the practitioners were being treated too mercifully.

These shameless, criminal displays of malice are not ending, but are instead escalating! More than 80 innocent practitioners in the labor camp are hoping, with their lives, that the righteous, kind-hearted people can reach their warm hands out to let justice shine in the world.

Lives are in extreme danger. They are in dire need of your help.
