August 26 to September 2 was proclaimed "Falun Dafa Week" by the City of New Braunfels, Texas. Mayor William made this announcement without any hesitation after reading the materials sent to him by the local practitioners.
In order to encourage the residents of the city to learn this noble way of cultivation, Mayor William decided to present the award to Falun Dafa at the municipal administration meeting which occurred during Falun Dafa Week, and to which the practitioners were invited. In the presence of nearly one hundred attendees, practitioners briefly introduced Falun Dafa and talked about the great compassion and forbearance shown by practitioners in China under brutal persecution by the Chinese government. The presentation received warm applause, and some people spontaneously expressed an interest in learning Falun Dafa.
At the end of the meeting Mayor William had his picture taken with practitioners and expressed his best wishes to Falun Dafa. Classes have now been scheduled to be held in two libraries in New Braunfels to promote Falun Dafa after the Falun Dafa Week activities.
