When the PRC president was recently responding to questions posed by a journalist on CBS regarding the Falun Gong issue, he managed to make yet another false allegation against Falun Gong. He said the founder of Falun Gong, "calls himself a reincarnation of the Bodhisattva and a reincarnation of Jesus."
As you may recall, when the crackdown first began in July of last year, all of the media in China kept stressing that the founder of Falun Gong had changed his date of birth to imply that he was a reincarnation of Sakyamuni (Siddhartha Gautama). Now it seems that even the PRC president himself feels that this so-called implies is not very convincing and not as direct as calls himself. Moreover, as though it didnt already seem preposterous enough to be a reincarnation of just Sakyamuni, its even more absurd to change it to both Bodhisattva and Jesus reincarnating at the same time. However, no matter who groundlessly makes these criticisms as though they were facts, the truth cannot be changed. Having read through all of the Falun Gong books, having watched all of the Falun Gong video tapes, and having listened to all of the Falun Gong tape recordings, we have never heard of this "reincarnation of Bodhisattva, reincarnation of Jesus."
Of course, for the small number of those within the Chinese leadership who are staunchly persecuting Falun Gong, whether or not Falun Gongs founder ever called himself anything is not important. The key point is to try to make people believe this statement, and people who dont know the truth may not necessarily spend the time to check on its validity. Once someone believes this ridiculous claim, then doesnt it then give one reason to say other things against Falun Gong? Furthermore, this reincarnation of Jesus claim will naturally offend Christians all around the world, and this is exactly what those who deliberately initiated the crackdown want to see happen.
Actually, this new charge that the PRC president has made against Falun Gong seems to have been made only because he had no choice. After more than a year of brutal persecution, with the great compassion and forbearance shown by Falun Dafa practitioners, and through the tireless efforts of overseas Dafa practitioners explaining to the international community the truth about Dafa, the six main charges that were made last year in order to persecute Falun Gong have already lost their ability to mislead people. The senselessness and viciousness of this persecution have also been exposed. Now, in the face of Western society, apart from repeating his old claims, unless he comes up with something that offends Westerners, he himself will be charged with instigating a senseless ban and violent crackdown. Now that he has slapped a reincarnation of Jesus label on Falun Gong, he can not only use it as an excuse to continue to hide the truth from people, but he can also mislead Western society. It appears that hes really put an effort into this.
Nevertheless, the PRC president has forgotten one point and that is: apart from Mainland China, people elsewhere can very easily obtain all of the Falun Gong materials, even free of charge, so he cannot manipulate and control the people of the world in the same way that he can the citizens of China. Rational people can draw their own conclusions from the facts.
The current president of China seems to have lost all reason with regard to the Falun Gong issue. When one lie can no longer deceive others, he just makes up another one. What does it say about the president of China, leader of the largest nation in the world, when he feels he can so recklessly lie to the faces of the most powerful reporters and leaders in the world?
