A few Chinese leaders decided to crackdown on Falun Gong because of their extremely selfish, weak and dark mentality and they have been controlled by evil. Because the target they intended to crack down on is "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance", the measures they used must be frame-ups, lies, and cheating. This makes it self-explanatory why the Chinese government has tried to take every possible measure to cover up the truth, using whatever violent forces they could, from leather shoes, to truncheons to prisons, and exercised the inhumane and horrendous terror to keep people's mouths shut. Meanwhile, they have operated the propaganda machinery that they control to spread lies and lies without restraint. At the beginning of the crackdown last year, they shouted to "transform" Falun Dafa practitioners with severe measures. This year, they became aware that their suppression on Falun Gong has helped Falun Gong to be spread to the whole world at an extremely rapid pace, and has helped to reveal the truth from their lies. If there are still people in the world with independent thinking, those Chinese leaders' intents and tricks cannot fool the people. More and more people who once got lost and believed in their lies have been awakening. Under such a situation, from the extreme fear of facing the truth, their last stroke for this desperate struggle resulted in exercising terror and violence to "keep people抯 mouth shut". The means they have used more madly are still insults, threats, truncheons and jails. Up to today, their truncheons have beaten 42 kind and innocent persons to death, including Wang Xingtian, a well-known kind and honest person from Hebei Province. On March 23 of this year, when his family saw his body, they found that scars and bruises due to the violent beatings with electric truncheons were all over his body. There were many holes on his body, and there was a quite obvious and big one on the back of his head. Many jails now have detained a lot of practitioners who dared to step forward to tell the truth, even those who were suspected.
We picked up some stories about practitioners who were illegally detained in Shijiazhuang's labor camps for your reference. The practitioners we mentioned were legal citizens. Some of them were key members in their work units, some were kind-hearted mothers, and some were kindly grandmothers. They have been sent to the labor camps rudely without any legal investigation or judicial process. It was just because they didn抰 want to remain silent after seeing so many lies being reported in the media and a lot of people being cheated. They just wanted to tell the truth according to their own conscience.
- Li Gaizhen, female, 54 years old, from Xinle City.
- Liu Caihua, female, a cadre in Tangshan Steel Company.
- Dang Lanfeng, female, 54 years old, from Shijiazhuang city.
- Wu Huiqing, female, 37 years old, a cadre of the Institute of Exploration Design.
- Lu Ran, female, graduated from Shijiazhuang Teacher抯 College in 1999.
- Shi Shufen, female, started to practice in 1995.
- Wang, Yongmei, female, from Zhoutong village, Shijiazhuang
- Zhu, Hong, 32 years old, from Shijiazhuang.
On December 26 of the last year [Lunar calendar], the policemen broke in to her home and brought her to the police station without any legal procedure. Several young and vigorous policemen beat her indiscriminately first. When they were tired of beating her, they handcuffed her to a big tree in the cold day. She was then sent to a detention center in the night. In the next night, it was extremely cold; the policemen wearing a heavy cotton coat came and tortured this old lady again. They piled up a big snow heap, ordered her to take off her clothes except one shirt and one pants, and lay on the snow heap with her face down. They even put some ice lumps on her body, and poured cold water on her back and her front from one end to the other. Afterwards, more than ten people took turns beating her, and abused her with inhumanely filthy words. Her face was swollen, her mouth was festering, and she kept vomiting fresh blood, yet she endured all these persistently.
In addition to beating Falun Gong practitioners, they [the guards] also asked practitioners in the same cell to fight against each other. Some practitioners who could not endure the suffering from tortures any longer began to fight, while crying. Li Gaizhen has been detained for 43 days in Xinle detention center. Her daily regular meals were one bowl of corn porridge, two bowls of vegetable soup and six spoiled steamed bun. In the end, they charged her more than 1,000 Yuan [about $120, average two month wage] for the food. Then she was sent to the 4th Brigade of Shijiazhuang Labor Camp for three years without any trial because she "gathered illegally" and promoted Falun Gong.
Ms. Liu had suffered from many diseases for over ten years. In addition to those, she was diagnosed with the carcinoma of the ovary in December 1996. Within 9 days, she received 2 major surgeries on the abdominal cavity. Because of the complete loss of her hope for life, she decided to stop all the treatments and waited for her death to come. In August 1997, she got to know Falun Dafa from her friend and started to practice. About ten days later, a miracle showed in her body. The pain that was all over her body disappeared, and her hunchback became straight. She became a broad-minded and nice person who always looks into herself whenever there is a conflict. She harmonized the relationships with her husband, her seven brothers and sisters as well as her co-workers. In order to resolve the conflict resulting from the fight for a management position among her coworkers, she voluntarily yielded her middle level management position. In April 1998, she started to support a poor child from a backward area to return to school.
Liu Caihua could not keep silent with facing slander and suppression towards Falun Dafa, because she and her family had received great benefit from practicing Falun Dafa. She went to Zhongnanhai on April 25, 1999 to tell the truth to the government leaders. Since the government has banned Falun Gong, she went to Beijing to appeal three times. Every time when she was escorted back, she was detained for a certain time. After she was released, she went to Beijing again. The last time, the local police station first sentenced her to one month in detention and after a month, they sentenced her three years in a labor camp to keeping her from going to Beijing to tell the truth. Her wish to sponsor a child to finish his highest degree in school had to be ended. Now she is kept in Shijiazhuang Labor Camp. She is still doing her best to appeal for our Teacher, Falun Dafa and practitioners. She once submitted an appeal letter to the Committee of Labor Camps of Hebei Province, yet there was no any response.
After obtaining Falun Dafa, just like other Falun
Gong practitioners, she is clearly aware of the tremendous changes happened in her body
and mind. Falun Dafa has brought her the continuous body purification and the upgrading of
her mind toward higher levels. She understood from her deep heart that Falun Dafa has
every benefit to the society and without a bit of harm, thus she insisted in telling the
truth to the government and the public. Because of her determination, she was arrested in
Tiananmen Square on October 18, 1999. She was then sent back to the police station at her
hometown and was sentenced to three years in the labor camp in Shijiazhuang Labor Camp
without any legal trial. This is another typical case of a local police station method to
seal off people's mouths without legal procedures and justice.
In order to tell the truth to the central
government and request for the release of 45 Falun Gong practitioners illegally beaten and
detained by Tanjin police station, she took part in the peaceful appealing on April 25,
1999. She has tried many times to tell the truth to different levels of the Chinese
government since July 20, 1999. At last, she was arrested at midnight before the middle of
August [lunar calendar, Chinese traditional holiday for family reunion] in Chaoyang Hotel
in Beijing and then was sent back to the police station. Because she knew she did not
violate any regulations or break the law, she held a hunger strike to protest illegal
detention for six days. Afterwards, her work unit oversaw her instead, so she was able to
find a chance to escape, and then she went to Beijing again. She was arrested in Tiananmen
Square, and suffered the brutal tortures in the detention center in Beijing and was forced
to tell where she came from. Then they sent her back and detained her in the First
Shijiazhuang Detention Center. On November 3, 1999, she was sentenced to three years in
labor camps.
She started to cultivate and practice Falun Dafa
when she was still a senior high school student. She has greatly benefited from the
cultivation of Falun Dafa. She was a generous and optimistic girl and had an excellent
performance in her school. She couldn抰 take any more of the fact that the central
government has exercised at their full strength to convert the right to the wrong and to
suppress Falun Gong, so she used the right given by the Constitution to go to Beijing to
appeal for Falun Gong. She kept nice and calm all the time even when the policemen beat,
cursed, insulted and tortured her in an inhumane manner. But, in the end, she was
sentenced to three years labor camps in because of "disturbing the social
order".
She went to Beijing on September 3, 1999 hoping
to tell the truth about her experiencing tremendous changes in body and mind after
practicing Falun Gong. Yet, she was convicted and sent back to her hometown police station
on September 16, 1999 and has been detained for ten months. They kept asking her if there
was any organization in Falun Gong, and how much money she earned as an assistant. She
told them honestly: "Falun Gong has indeed no organization at all, and assistants
never earned a penny." As a result, they beat her two hands with bamboo rod, and did
not allow her to sleep for a week. They also handcuffed her in the same position for a
long time until her whole body was swollen, and some parts of her body became festered.
They also tortured her with other measures. On July 18, 2000, several policemen brought
her to a police car, and after one hour of driving, they told that she has been sentenced
to three years labor camps. She calmly faced all these consequences since she knew she is
innocent and told the truth to the government. To tell the truth about Falun Dafa to the
public is an obligation of everyone who is aware of it, not to mention Falun Dafa
practitioners.
She was determined in the cultivation of Falun
Dafa, so some government officers have been paying more attention to her responses and
worrying that she would go to Beijing to tell the truth about Falun Gong. Therefore, they
have been trying to figure out a way to get rid of this "hidden trouble"
forever. On April 28, 2000, she showed a banner in Tiananmen Square which was read as
"Falun Dafa is Good" to tell the public her understanding of Falun Dafa. She was
arrested soon and sent back to the local detention center. When her family went to the
detention center to take her home, the detention center was planning to withhold her
family's property to force her to guarantee that she would not again speak for Falun Dafa.
Her family had no choice but to deposit 10, 000 Yuan [about $1,200, average 20 months
wage] to the police station and 5,000 Yuan to the village, so she was released on June 2,
2000. When she went back home, she refused to write such a guaranty to denounce Falun
Dafa. The leaders of police station went to her home to threaten her. After failing to
convince her to denouncing Falun Gong, the police simply handcuffed her, took her away
from home. Then, she was sentenced to one year in labor camps. The head of the labor camps
threatened her: "You should have good behavior, otherwise you will be sentenced to
two or more years!" Those policemen dared to violate the law without restraints.
Her mind and body had benefited tremendously from the cultivation of Falun Gong. So when the central government banned Falun Gong, she stepped forward to tell the truth about Falun Gong. She has appealed to the government six times from July to December 1999. At the last time, she was arrested in Beijing and sent back to Shijiazhuang. She was sentenced to three years labor camps. Some officers in the police station could not understand her: Why did she go on appealing as long as she is alive without fear of terror and severe measures? Why such an ordinary citizen dared to tell the truth to the government disregarding such a harsh suppression? They thought she was like a person walking into the group of wolves to persuade them not to eat sheep. Therefore, they brought her to the Fifth Hospital of Shijiazhuang (The Mental Hospital), and held a group consultation on her with a panel of seven to eight specialists of mental disease. They asked her many questions. She also accepted medical examinations such as CT, EEG (Electroencephalogram) and Electrocardiogram etc. The results showed that she was healthy, sound in mind, and quick in thinking. The participants have understood a lot of true stories about Falun Gong from her answers. They understood that her actions were responsible for society and others, were noble and selfless deeds.
In consideration of limited space, we only listed above cases.
Tens of thousands of practitioners have been forcefully jailed and isolated from the outside world. By doing this, the government thought they now could not freely go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong or to tell the truth to the world. The tortures and persecutions on Falun Gong practitioners have been continuing and have never stopped, because the government still feared that the practitioners in jails would study the Fa and practice Falun Gong. The government is even scared to hear the words "Falun Gong". When someone mentions these words, they will abuse and beat him or her. For example, in 4th brigade of Shijiazhuang [woman's] labor camps, every practitioner is under close watch of 1 to 3 prisoners who have committed certain crimes. The prisoners can check practitioner抯 letters and diaries at their wills. At the beginning of this year, practitioners were forced to work more than ten hours and sometimes even had to work for 48 hours without any break. The government wanted to occupy all practitioners' time so that they could not study the Fa and practice Falun Gong. If they found someone practicing secretly, they would slap her in the face in the presence of the whole group. Zhu Hong once was slapped several dozens times so that she lost control of the bowel movement. In the early days of March of this year, practitioners submitted a letter to appeal for eight hours of work daily, but the proposal was turned down. So they decided to stop working. The consequence they received then was to stand straightly 17 to 18 hours daily. This standing lasted for half a month and many practitioners?body became swollen.
Since March 28, besides the standing, practitioners were forced to line up, run and march for 7-8 hours every day, and the torture was actually aggravated. During this period, as long as the practitioners stood in a practice gesture and recited the words of Master Li, they were kicked, pulled around by their hair, beat up with a rod, forced to breathe the pepper powder, gagged with a towel and tied around the neck etc. The guards not only beat up the practitioners themselves, they also ordered the prisoners to beat the practitioners. Many practitioners were covered by blue and red all over their bodies. Liu Juhua, Wang Daxu, Wang Jinmei, Yi Zengyan, Gou Liyun, Qiao yunxia, Gou Xin, Bai Li, Li Na, Wu Huiqing, Yang Qingfang, Zhu Hong, and Fan Lixin from the 4th brigade were among the targets of the beatings. Crying and heart-tearing screams came out from the camps office and work shops frequently. Since then the violation of law and human rights became more and more severe. On April 27, 2000, nearly 50 practitioners took off their prison clothes, and refused to work and eat. They demanded the right of freedom and normal life. Due to shortage of hands to feed the practitioners forcefully, in the morning of May 1, eighteen practitioners were shackled and transferred to the 3rd brigade. They were detained for 60 days. Every one was tortured many times. They were hung up, beat and shackled to the fences, to the air-conditioners pipe, and to the legs of the table. Many of them were force-fed many times, and some of them were even force-fed after the meal. The bleeding from the nose and month became a routine, and clotted blood was even found in the hair while washing the head.
There is one thing worth mentioning, what is happening in Shijiazhuang is happening everywhere in China. The entire country is full of these crimes.
In order to maintain a wrong decision and support innumerable lies, the Chinese government has taken inhuman measures and approaches in treating Falun Gong and its practitioners. The truth about Falun Dafa cannot be covered up for long. The terror will not last long. In the past year, all kind-hearted people have denounced the conviction of the "evil cult" by Chinese government over the world. Now, most of the world media that had been lied to before have changed their attitude, and now support the practitioners instead. In the last year, peaceful demonstrations for the appealing for Falun Gong in front of the Chinese embassies in many countries has never stopped. Wherever the Chinese leaders went, the Falun Dafa banners showed up. Everyone is clear in his or her heart, and even the policemen know who is right and who is wrong.
The respectable are the practitioners who have stepped forward to protect the truth of the universe with their lives. It is their dedication to the truth of the universe that makes the people who were cheated by lies and frightened by the terror to see the truth. It is their dedication to the truth of the universe that makes the lives of those once being cheated and frightened reversible.
