Greetings! We are some villagers of a town in China and also Falun Dafa practitioners. We would like to report to you on what we have experienced recently, the unfair treatments of a series of law violations, including detaining and beating people at will by the local authorities.
On July 24 of this year, without contacting each other, several practitioners went to help an elderly woman of the our village to reap corn. Since she was in her 70s and the two (Chinese) acres field was too much for her. Soon after we started, there were about ten people from the town and local police driving to the field. They surrounded us and yielded: "Stand up! Freeze!" Then they took photos of us and brought us to the local police station.
In the station, they made us stand on bare feet and lean our body close against a wall under the scorching sun; it was more than 40 degrees Celsius. We were not allowed to move. After that, they started to give us a "special education." The polices batons, palms, fists and steel toed shoes poured down onto our heads, faces and bodies. Among us, three female practitioners in their 70s were also treated this way. One elderly gentleman of more than 70-yearold age had a hunchback and could not lean his back close to the wall. One of the "peoples police" fiercely pushed his head onto the wall with one hand and stroke his chest with the other fist, saying, "let me straighten you hunchback!"
There was one old lady of 87 years old, who had just started practicing 5 day ago. She wanted to use the restroom. The same police officer ran over and grabbed her, shouting, "How dare you try and escape?" Then he handcuffed her hands behind her back, with one hand reaching down over the shoulder and the other hand reaching up from the lower back. He then pulled her up from the ground and rushed her to the street. The on looking people on street were all shouting: "You are going to kill her, you are going to kill her!" How heart breaking this scene was! Just because she practiced Falun Gong, the "peoples police" could treat an 87-year-old lady this way! The pedestrians on the street shook their heads. They did not dare to speak out but they all knew what was going on in their hearts!
After sunset, they locked us into a small, dark, filthy, and stench-ridden cell and did not allow us to use the restroom. They simply labeled one practitioner as the "head of the main assistant center" and then took her to the city police station with the accusation of "disturbing social order." Upon seeing this elderly woman, the city police station feared her dieing, they let the village handle the issue. The village leaders then released her after collecting a fine from her.
We cultivate Buddhas Law. We cultivate "Zhen-Shan-Ren" and aim at being detached from the fame, gain and qing (sentiment). We are genuinely good people. Each year, we pay our annual duties earlier than non-practitioners. No matter what difficultly a family is in, we pay our duties by borrowing money and never make any excuse or denial. We did not fight for good farms when the farms were distributed. We took the poor fields that the non-practitioners did not want. When our crops were stepped on by others, we did not quarrel or fight with them. The atmosphere in our neighborhood was very harmonious and friendly. Our families were even more caring and peaceful. Our Teacher taught us in the Fa that we should be good people and we genuinely practiced according to these principles. Though we were very busy, we still found time to practice exercises and study the Fa, as well as to share our experiences together. Where did we break the law? What could be regarded as a threat to social security?
Since last July, the government has carried out an unprecedented crackdown against Falun Dafa. Numerous practitioners went to appeal to the government revealing the truth. They took all kinds of risks and difficulties, even the danger of losing their lives. Their appealing to the Central Government in Beijing was like Weizhen risking his life appealing to Emperor Tang Taizong (in the Tang dynasty). They went through countless ordeals yet they still kindly treated everyone with great Benevolence and great Forbearance, without any complaint or hatred. However, as of today, the government is still playing deaf and persecuting practitioners with even harsher means. Why are they doing this? However, we still want to practice and study even under these severe circumstances. Why? To revolt against the government? No. This is because Falun Dafa is great and it is the truth of the universe. "'The Buddha Law' is most profound; among all the theories in the world, it is the most metaphysical and extraordinary science" "It is able to truly distinguish what is righteous from evil, good from bad, and eliminate all misconceptions while providing what is correct." "It can rectify all abnormal conditions."
It is such a great Fa, giving millions of practitioners new lives by freeing us from all kinds of the diseases, enabling us to find our kind natures that have been lost in the struggle for fame and gain. We practice according to the principles of Falun Dafa and the guidance of our Teacher, trying our best to become good people, an even better people, and better people in higher realms. Within eight years, Falun Dafa has guided the hearts of people toward kindness and raised peoples morals. This has hundreds of advantages and not a single harm to a country and the people. This undeniable fact is acknowledged over the whole world. More and more people in the world are attaining Falun Dafa. Falun Dafa has brought the truth to the people of the world.
We sincerely hope that the leaders in our city council will take the initiative to get to know Falun Dafa and put an end to the brutal activities of certain police towards the Falun Dafa practitioners. Please do not let your own kindness be buried simply due to the fear of the loss of a tiny bit of your fame and interest.
Our teacher once said with Great Benevolence: "Mankind! Wake up! The vows of Gods throughout history are being fulfilled. Dafa is evaluating all lives. The path of life is under ones own feet. A single thought of his own will also decide his own future. Treasure and cherish it. The Fa and the principles of the universe are right in front of you."
