[Mainland] The Truth Behind the Report made by Chinese Central Broadcast on Harbin Murder
    Case

Around New Year of 2000, the Chinese Central Broadcast made a news report on "The
Murder Case by a Falun Dafa practitioner from Harbin."

After the report was made, a practitioner on a business trip met 4 people on a train ride
who happened to talk about this news report. One of them was from the Province Educational
Bureau who was on the investigational team of the murder case. And the other three were
schoolmasters of Harbin city schools. The person involved in the investigation said,
"The report on Falun Gong by the Central Broadcast Station was falsified. I know
exactly what happened. I went to the murderer's home and didn't find anything related to
Falun Dafa, not even a book. His wife said he never even practiced one day of Falun Gong.
Of course I didn't dare to make the falsified report. However when the people from the
Central Broadcast station came over, they received a determined order to report the false
story from the vice Premier Li Lanqing, so they just went ahead despite the truth. That's
how Falun Gong was framed and the false news report came about." As we can see, a few
people from the Central Leadership fabricated the whole incident with undisclosed
    intentions and ulterior motive.

What's more is that all employees from the company of the murderer knew that he never
practiced Falun Gong, and that the Central Broadcast Station was using this case to frame
Falun Gong. Not only did the Central Broadcast Station become the laughing stock, this
incident also led to the thought-provoking question, "What is wrong with the Chinese
    government?"

[Shandong] Duan Ruilai, Faculty Member of Yantai University, Sentenced to Labor Camp

Duan Ruilai, 28 years old, has a Master's Degree from Shanghai Finance University, and a
faculty member of Finance Department at the University of Yantai. He was detained at the
University Security Department from September 10th till November 1999 because he practiced
    Falun Gong.

In mid-December of 1999, for fear that he will go to Beijing to make appeal, the police
department detained Mr. Duan again, along with two other faculty members. He then went on
a hunger strike and was sent to the detention center for 10 days.

In January of 2000, Mr. Duan and other faculty members were detained again indefinitely.
However, the numbers of faculty members who went to appeal only increased. In March, once
Mr. Duan was able to break away from police surveillance, he went straight to Beijing, and
was thus brought back home to receive a mad beating and indefinite detention. When Mr.
Duan protested by going on a hunger strike, 6 or 7 people roped him and force-fed him by
    intravenous.

After March 15th, 2000, Mr. Duan received a verdict of having bad behavior because of his
hunger strikes and was sentenced to labor camp. He is currently detained at Zibo Labor
    Camp in Shandong Province.

[Chongqing] Tang Mingjun and Wu Rongyue of Chongqing Department of Railroads Sentenced to
    Labor Camp

Tang Mingjun, female, age 43, employee of Chongqing Department of Railroads. She was
arrested for passing out flyers on July 14th, 2000 and given one-year sentence to Labor
Camp. She had also gone to Beijing twice to appeal. She is currently confined at Zizhong
    Rail Labor Camp for Women.

Wu Rongyue, male, age 41, supervisor at Chongqing Department Rails. Because he refused to
stop practicing Falun Gong, he was first demoted to hard labor in the company while placed
under surveillance. He later was also detained twice for going to Beijing to appeal.
Lastly, he was sentenced to 2-year hard labor at Ziyang Rail Labor Camp. Once when he was
visiting the home of another practitioner, the police happened to be there. He was
    arrested immediately without legitimate reason.

[Guangzhou] Guangzhou Police Arbitrarily Arrested and Sentenced Falun Dafa Practitioners
    to Labor Camps

Guangzhou City Police, in an effort to prevent Falun Dafa practitioners from going to
Beijing to appeal around July 20th, 2000, started to force a large number of practitioners
to attend "Re-Educational Class" around July 10th. One relative plus one
co-worker must accompany every "student", which caused quite an annoyance to
all. Only until July 30th did the police start to release the detained practitioners.
However, in Baiyun District, the police transferred some practitioners to a drug rehab
center. There, everyone was forced to write a pledge promising that they would not appeal
nor join group practice, and those who refused were threatened with indefinite detention
or labor camp. 10 practitioners are still being detained at the rehab center.

Guangzhou practitioners Wang Ying and Xu Juhua are still detained at the Tianhe Detention
center. Since July 9th, 2000, they were brought there without legal procedure. No one is
    allowed to visit them.

Guangzhou practitioner Zhen Lanying has a 6-year old son, and sister Zhen Guiying has a
3-year old daughter. Both sisters were arrested on June 18th , 2000 for practicing
outdoors, and have been under detention ever since. Yu Weiming, Chen Huiling and Shi lei
were also detained for the same reason.

Guangzhou practitioners Mr. and Mrs. Zhou Mingtong and the Mother in Law were brought to
"re-Educational Class" after the police open their door by force. While still
attending the "class", Mr. Zhou was sentenced to 2 years at Cen Village Labor
    Camp without any reason.

Chen Hongchun plus 5 other practitioners of Guangzhou Liwan District were sent to
"re-Education class" around July 20th, 2000. Because they still practiced the
exercises at the time of attending those classes, they were transferred to a police
station for civil violations. They have yet to be released.

The police took Guangzhou practitioners Mr. and Mrs. Li Xinyi away after a house search
and their whereabouts are still unknown.

[Lanzhou] Teen Practitioner from Lanzhou City Placed under Torture and Forced Labor

Mid July, 2000, the entire family of five practitioners including two high school teenager
daughters went to Beijing, and were all arrested for practicing the Falun Gong exercises
at the Tiananmen Square. Because none would give their personal info to the police, the
police started to threaten and interrogate one of the daughters. They burned her hand with
lit cigarettes till she couldn't take it any more and gave them her information. By then
her hands were full of large sized boils, yet she didn't shed a tear during the whole
torture. The whole family was then transported back to Lanzhou City and locked in
detention center for 15 days to do forced labor. Under the 39C heat, the adults and the
teens were all forced to labor as equals from 6 am to 9 pm.

We also heard that recently some government spies pretended to be Falun Dafa practitioners
and sneaked into detention centers with the help from the police in order to trick the
practitioners into writing pledges that denounced Falun Dafa with gaining freedom as lure.
However, most practitioners see through their deceits and were not moved by them.

From other reports, some forty practitioners formerly detained at the First Detention
Center of Lanzhou City were separated apart and sent to different Labor Teams. The police
detained one practitioner in each cell, and would surround one practitioner with 6
criminals. Everyday, besides the forced labor, the fights and filth of the criminals also
surrounded the practitioners. Some practitioners who had only been there for one month
    have been mistreated beyond recognition.

It was said that Xiguoyuan Detention Center has a very high death rates because of its
most deplorable condition. We implore all the kindhearted governments, organizations and
    civilians to extend their help.
