Safeguard and Spread the Fa Until the Human World Has Been Rectified

Greetings!

The peaceful petition of Washington D.C. Dafa practitioners in front of the Chinese Embassy to the United States of America has lasted 9 months. Many practitioners guarded Dafa and promoted Dafa at the Embassy, and I am just one of them. Now I would like to share with you my experience.

From mid-October last year, a Virginia practitioner came to practice in front of the Chinese Embassy early in the morning everyday. Later on, two more practitioners came everyday afternoon. They hanged out the banner with the phrase, "Falun Dafa is good." on it, studied the Fa and did the exercises.

After the 27th of October, more practitioners wanted to come to the Embassy. We coordinated the time schedule so that there are practitioners at present everyday. We have kept on doing this until today, and we will continue to do so until Dafa has rectified the human world.

We hanged out banners in protest against the unbridled persecution by the Chinese government toward Falun Dafa practitioners. This persecution is against the law of the universe. We only want to tell people of the world that Falun Dafa is righteous.

At the beginning, several people in the Embassy often came out to "talk" with us. But in the so-called "talk," we were not allowed to speak. With great compassion and great forbearance, the practitioners maintained their xinxing and told them the true story. Without listening to us, they just raised their voices to talk us down. I felt they were so pitiable, funny and deplorable, just as what Master has said:

"Their karma is so much that it has enveloped their bodies and sealed off their wisdom; their original nature is gone." (Enlightenment)

But there are some kindhearted staff members who know that the Chinese government has been cheating the people and misleading the world, and that the propaganda is just the duty of their work. Since they are willing to talk with us in a friendly manner, we showed them how the Chinese government persecuted Falun Dafa, and violated human rights. With true cultivation stories, we testified the great benevolence of Dafa to help them out of their confusions and return to their Buddha nature. Once I said: "The Falun Dafa practitioners in China just do exercises and read a book. They learn to be good people and practice to improve their health. What's wrong with them? Why does the government force them to leave their homes, workplaces, and families? They are wronged but denied any chance to explain for themselves. They have suffered from inhuman torture; some of them were even beaten to death. Learning these, I feel grieved, really grieved, because they are just common Chinese people like me. They are like my kith and kin." He replied in sorrow, "They are like kith and kin of me, too." I can see his good nature, so I told him: "Then let's make every effort from different positions, to prevent the situation from getting worse, to help with the peaceful solution to the current crisis." As he was leaving, he told me seriously: "Sister, I will keep your words in mind."

In November, the Embassy people played another trick. Staff members frequently met with practitioners. They also invited practitioners to dinner at restaurants. See, this Chinese-style corruption has been brought overseas. It's quite okay to have a meal with the Embassy people, but never will we betray the Buddha!

They said: " You sit here everyday, you are bringing the shame on the Chinese government."

We replied: "The shame is brought on by the government itself, we are just wiping it off. Crackdown on Falun Dafa, terrible human rights record, serious falsification in media reports, reneging on its own words....... All these have damaged the reputation of the Chinese government in the international community. We come here just to tell the government that what you have done is wrong. If the government could make corrections and stop the persecution on Falun Dafa, isn't shame taken off?"

They said: "Do you think the US government would help you?"

We replied: "We are practitioners. We seek nothing at all, except a place for cultivation practice. The cultivation practice is legitimate in any place of the world, except China. It is the basic human right endowed by nature. We come here just to appeal for the Chinese government to restore the reputation of Falun Dafa and provide a lawful practice environment."

A couple of days after that, the US House unanimously passed a concurrent Resolution in condemnation of the crackdown on Falun Dafa by the Chinese government. What a coincidence!

This time, they found little to argue with and said: "We have not said that you are illegal and that you are cult. That is for Falun Gong in Mainland China. The overseas one is different from the one in China."

Seriously and clearly, we replied: "There is only one Falun Dafa in the universe. Overseas practitioners and Chinese practitioners practice the same exercises, read the same book of Zhuan Falun. We are students of the same Master-Master Li Hongzhi, and follow the same principle-Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

There are many tourists from China coming to Washington DC, some of them are misled by the falsified report in China. When they saw Falun Dafa in front of the Chinese Embassy, they are just dumbfounded. Some of them even wanted to frighten us in the way that Chinese policemen deal with Falun Dafa practitioners. "Go away, otherwise I will call the police." However, they were replied only with laughter. When they realized that the Chinese government was not able to hoodwink the world, that Falun Dafa is legal everywhere in the world, welcomed and recognized by the people, and that there are so many "foreigners" practicing Falun Dafa, their blinded minds were shocked.

Quite a few of the Chinese tourists took pictures of us. Whether it's a distant shot or close-up, we are just so calm and peaceful. We understand that whether it's out of good intention or ill mind, as long as those pictures are spread out, it is promotion of Dafa. We do hope they could bring the truth back to China.

Many of them really wanted to know the true stories. They picked up the Dafa material and read very quickly. They tried to catch all of these quickly, for they dare not bring the material back to China. When they know the petition in front of the Chinese Embassy has never stopped; when they know that it has lasted through the winter of ice and snow, and also the spring of brilliant sunshine, they are deeply moved. One of them bowed and said: "But, you know? No matter how you insist, the Chinese government will never change." I said: "I know. But I hope they will change. If they do change, it will be good for the government, for the people, for the nation of China, and for the human society. Whether they will change is a matter of theirs, but whether we come or not is a matter of ourselves. We will never give up." People in the Embassy were shouting: "Come over, come over. Don't listen to them." I continued: "I know everyone has a benevolent nature. I know you are very conscious of it. But because of various pressures, you can not speak out. We are much luckier than you." He was nodding all the time, and I saw tears in his eyes.

Ah, How lucky that we obtain the Dafa! If I can do what I should do for the rectification of the Fa in the human world, it will be my everlasting honor.

Someday early this year, it began to rain when I came off work around 1:30 pm. I was somewhat hesitant about whether to go there. My husband handed me a bun and added: "Don't give up." I turned around and headed for the bus station. Right out of the metro station, the rain was pouring down. When I stepped on the bridge, what first came into my eyesight is the banner of Dafa. It stands there, facing the wind and rain. I could not help shouting "Bravo!" A warm current surged to my heart. I trotted over there.

A young practitioner was holding the law wheel in the rain. Without umbrella and raincoat, he was wet all over. Towering and lofty, he did not move a little in the wind and rain.

So great, our Dafa practitioner is like a high tree and a lofty mountain. It is really great!

Usually, it's quiet here. Naturally, it became our group study and group practice site. Everyday, we sit down and study the Fa quietly. Our bodies and hearts were dissolved into the law of the universe. News from Minghui was spread, and the magnificent undertaking in Tiananmen Square echoed here. We exchanged our experience and let go of our human attachments. On the road of cultivation, we made progress all together. We pursued nothing, yet interesting things often happened. Black hair replaced the white hair of 79-year-old Mama Xue; Aunt Zhang said good-bye to her eyeglasses; someone levitated in meditation; beautiful scenery caught our Tianmu when holding the law wheel. Someone came to learn the five sets of exercises; someone came to read Zhuan Falun. Some westerner took a special trip to express his indignation toward the inhumanity of the Chinese government, and his esteem towards the Falun Gong practitioners who sacrificed their life for not giving up their beliefs in Dafa. An old lady walked up and down in front of the banner with the phrase "Release the Arrested Falun Dafa Practitioners" on it. She asked me, as a favor, to send her regards to the suffering practitioners in China. A young man, speaking in Chinese when pointing to Chinese Embassy: " I am not afraid of them."

Passengers waved their hands towards us; drivers honked to show greetings; policemen gave thumbs up towards us in support of us; news reporters often came to make interviews. Various English and Chinese newspapers, TV and radio of many countries have reported or broadcast news of Falun Gong. The universal truth of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is being spread to the world, and the Buddha's light is illuminating everywhere.

Ever since July 20th last year, Falun Dafa practitioners from US and other parts of the world gathered many times in front of the Chinese Embassy at Washington D.C., in protest of the crackdown on Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese government. We expressed our cherished wish in a most benevolent and peaceful way. In the burning sunshine, we meditated, silently suffering with our steadfast heart and great compassion and tolerance. We exposed the truth to the world, calling for support from international organizations and governments of all countries, in a hope of waking up the benevolent nature of the people.

Ever since then, the guarding of Dafa in front of the Embassy has gained support from practitioners all over the world. Practitioners made phone calls and sent message to give encouragement. Each time we meet at the experience sharing conferences, we exchanged our understanding and discussed over this. We agreed that it's righteous to guard Dafa in front of the Embassy.

Some of the banners we hang out are from Atlanta and California; flyers we sent out came from Canada, New York, Atlanta, Taiwan and other areas.

We have no organizations but our hearts are joined together. We boast a common name: Falun Dafa Practitioner.

All of us cherish a common goal: For Dafa to rectify the human world, and for us to dissolve into Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
