One of the police substations in the Haidian District in Beijing is a big and famous one in the District. Since July 22, 1999, some mysterious things have been happening, whereas they are quite clear in the minds of Falun Dafa practitioners.
Example 1.
Local policeman Zheng, went to search Falun Dafa practitioner Wang's home. He slandered Master Li, defamed Falun Dafa, put Master Li's image on the ground and tramped it, forced Wang to burn Falun Dafa books (being unsuccessful) and so on. He went to Wang's home and searched twice. Every time he got back, he was hospitalized the next day.
Example 2.
Local policeman Liu, who has often illegally detained and interrogated the practitioners in his area, had acute diseases several times. For example, he vomited and had diarrhea from an unknown illness; he finally had to go to the hospital to have a vein injection of medicine; his stomach bled from an unknown cause and he was hospitalized and so on.
Example 3.
Li, the deputy director of this police substation, and three other policemen are in charge of the issue of Falun Gong. They took a vacation by traveling to other places in May of this year. They had a car accident. One died, one was seriously injured and the other two were slightly injured. Among them, the associate director Li was the one seriously injured, his liver was damaged and he has been hospitalized.
People have committed some wrong deeds that do not conform to the characteristics of the universe "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" in their past lives. But everything that has been done in this life is even more important. The above examples, on one hand, can be treated as punishment for the wrong deeds that they had commited in the past, on the other hand, can be understood as Buddha's benevolence to them, leaving them their life and offering them a chance to again be an upright person. Master Li has clearly pointed out in "Further Comments on Superstition" in the book "Essentials for Further Advances":
"Nevertheless, ignorant people take various catastrophes as natural phenomena. The universe does not exist for mankind. Man is only one form of expression of the lives existing at the lowest level. If mankind has lost the standard for existence at this level of the universe, it can only be eliminated by the universe's history.
Mankind! Wake up! The vows of Gods throughout history are being fulfilled. Dafa is evaluating all lives. The path of life is under one's own feet. A single thought of his own will also decide his own future.
Treasure and cherish it. The Fa and the principles of the universe are right in front of you."
