[Heilongjiang Province] The Recent Situation of Detained Practitioners
Recently, the picture show of the so-called "Opposing Superstitions and Worshipping the Science" has been held in the Museum of Heilongjiang Province. The show contained a lot of slanders against Falun Gong. Many practitioners signed the guest-book and wrote about their personal experiences of practicing Falun Dafa in order to tell people that Falun Dafa is good. Some practitioners got detained and fined, because they distributed Falun Dafa materials to visitors.
Up to now, some practitioners are still being detained. Many of them went on hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. Some practitioners have been on hunger strike for up to 14 days. They were force-fed with high-density salt water and corn cereal.
The police extorted money ranging from 5 thousand Yuan up to twenty thousand Yuan in the name of transportation fee and deposit fee etc from the family members of the detained practitioners, without issuing any receipts. Some police officers seized the chance to make a fortune. They even claimed that they would release the practitioners as soon as their family members gave them their personal properties such as video-recorders etc. Some practitioners got detained for extended period for no reason. Some detained practitioners had their homes ransacked. Some of their family members also got detained when they went to ask the police to return the seized books and other properties.
Below is the recent situation of some detained practitioners:
1, Wu Yulan, female, is 60 years old. She has been on hunger strike for 13 days. She was taken away from her home at around 7pm of June 23 for no reason. Her husband, Guo Chang, was also arrested at the same time but got released later. A dozen of police officers ransacked their home and seized their Falun Dafa materials without issuing any receipts.
2, Guo Hongyu, female, 29, the daughter of Ms. Wu Yulan, has been on hunger strike for up to 11 days. Guo Hongyu and her father, Guo Chang, started hunger strike in front of the Nangang sub-police department on June 26 after they failed to get their Falun Dafa materials back. The police threw Guo Hongyu directly into the Second detention center of Harbin on June 28. Her father got detained in the detention center of the Nangang sub-police department and is on hunger strike now.
3, Wang Yurong, female, middle-aged, has been on hunger strike for 13 days.
4, Zhao Xiuzhi, female, middle-aged, has been illegally detained since January 16 after being escorted back from Beijing where he appealed for Falun Gong.
5, Sun Yi, female, 27, a former English lecturer in the Medical School of Harbin, got removed from the party and her post for having gone to Beijing to report the truth of Falun Gong to the government twice. On this May 12, she was taken away while she was visiting a fellow practitioner and got detained in the Second Detention Center of Harbin under the accusation of "illegal gathering". In detention center, she suffered tortures such as being forced to sit on the iron chair for continuing to practice Falun Gong.
[Shandong Province] Practitioners from Yimeng Mountain Suffered Inhumane Mistreatments Such as Being Bitten by Snake
Practitioner Peng Chengxi, from Lanshan District of Linyi City, has been detained in the yard of the City Birth-Control Office since the end of this May. He suffered physical abuses such as being beaten up using leather belts, rubber club and electrical club, being burnt by a lighter and being bitten by a scorpion etc. Some ruffians even used a snake to bite him. A snake tooth was left broken on his neck.
Practitioners from the Dongguan Office of Lanshan District, Zhao Fuxin and Zhao Fuming, who are sisters, have also been detained for long term. Zhao Fuxin had been beaten to lose consciousness for several times while her younger sister, Zhao Fuming besides of being beaten up, had her neck injured from the bite by a snake.
Practitioners from the Lanshan District, Gao Yiming, Zhang Yupei, Zhang Shuqing and Zhang Ruzhong etc also got beaten up by some hired ruffians. Those ruffians forced them to curse Teacher Li and to step on the photos of Teacher Li. They would be severely beaten up if they refused to do so.
[Shijiazhuang] The Guards Acted Like Beasts In Human Attire
Since this May, practitioners detained in the Women Labor Camp of Shijiazhuang have suffered inhumane mistreatments for continuing to practice Falun Gong.
The guards used the shoe-bottoms to slap the faces of the practitioners madly. Practitioner Bai Lili lost her hearing from the beatings. Here, many practitioners had been tortured to such an extent that they had bruises all over their bodies. Practitioner Chan Shuhua had many scars on her body as a result of being scratched. Practitioner Zheng Baohua had been hung up with only tiptoes slightly touching the ground. Moreover, the guards even abused practitioners sexually such as scratching their vagina and beating up their breasts.
On July 3, many practitioners got detained in a room of about 40Clesius for a whole day. They were restricted from going out or using toilet. There were 3 such rooms.
[Shijiazhuang] Lawyers Impressed by Practitioners
Some practitioners who got removed from their posts went to consult the lawyers. They told the lawyers how Falun Gong practitioners had been persecuted. Some lawyers were surprised upon learning the irrationality of the government. They said, "No wonder the administration of justice prohibits us to defend for Falun Gong."
Some lawyers were moved to tears by the courageous deeds of practitioners in defending Falun Dafa. They said, "You can come to me if someday you need me. I will defend you and Falun Gong at no charge."
[Shijiazhuang] Police Stole Personal Letters Secretly
According to sources, the police of Shijiazhuang City has been staying in the Post Office to search for the letters written by the practitioners to report the illegal deeds of the police such as beating people, imposing fines, ransacking homes and detaining people for no reason etc. The police would then report the contents of such letters to the 610 Office that specially persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. Some practitioners got persecuted thereafter.
[Shenzhen] A Show-trial Turned into an Experience-sharing Conference
After the show-trial against practitioners Deng Weili and Yu Xiaoyan were concluded on June 23 at Shuining Intermediate People's Court, the trial of another practitioner, Lu Yanfen, who had gone to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong twice, was scheduled on June 26. On that day, many practitioners went to audit the trial. The room with more than 300 seats was full. Many practitioners stayed in the hallways and outside the Court. A total of about 1,000 practitioners were there. The court then temporally decided to try another person upon finding out that there were so many practitioners. Practitioners then took that opportunity to exchange experience with each other. During that period, some police officers and plainclothes agents walked back and forth among the practitioners. The practitioners handed the article "Some thoughts of Mine" by Teacher Li and some articles of practitioners to the police. The whole process lasted from 8am to 4pm.
Practitioners felt improved a lot after stepping forward to defend Falun Dafa. Some practitioners had stayed home practicing cultivation quietly. They found out that they lagged behind a lot after having a discussion with other practitioners.
[Lanzhou, Gansu Province]
Cong Qiuzi, female, a retired researcher from the Chemical Physics Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences at Lanzhou, was taken away on July 3 by the Lanzhou City Police Department and got detained since then. Her home got ransacked for the second time.

On July 3, seven local female practitioners practiced Falun Gong together at a public place. The oldest one was 70 years old and the youngest one was 58 years old. Clubs in hand, the police forced them to get on the police vehicle. These aged practitioners walked onto the police vehicle calmly. In the detention center, they introduced Falun Dafa to the police with their personal experiences. At the end, the police said, "You can practice at home if you feel it is good. Do not practice it outside."
Now 5 of them were already picked up by their family members. Another two were still being detained. It was said that they police would like to find out who was the organizer.
[Guangzhou City]
Rao Zhuoyuan, a practitioner from the Food Section of the Epidemic Prevention Station of Guangzhou City, has practiced Falun Dafa for 6 years. In last September, he got detained for over 20 days for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. He has been determined in Falun Dafa and at the same time, he worked very hard in workplace. Starting this June, however, his workplace deducted his salary for no reasons. In the afternoon of July 3, he was taken away in the name of "attending a thoughts transformation class" by a few people from his workplace without any legal paper work. His whereabouts is unknown up to now.
