Some Selected Cultivation Stories (Part 1)

Story No. 1

Longh-Longh is 11 years old and in grade 5. He was lucky to attain the Fa in mid-July of 1999. He quickly finished listening to Master Li's Fa Lectures on audiotapes and started reading Zhuan Falun thirstily.

On July 22, propaganda that slandered Falun Dafa was shown on all media (in China) and started becoming louder and louder. Though Longh-Longh had only recently received the Fa, he was very firm in his belief in both the Fa and the Teacher. He said that what was shown on TV was all wrong and he would never change his mind about cultivation. When he saw on TV that an arrest warrant had been issued for Master Li, Longh-Longh cried heartily. He said to other cultivators that we have such a good teacher who teaches us to be good people, so why is the government slandering him, trying to arrest him, and labelling us an evil cult?

A child like Longh-Longh who can accept Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance as the ultimate law of the universe in such a short time cannot understand there would be such an evil thing happening in this human world. An 11-year-old boy, who has just attained Fa, has this sharp ability to distinguish between good and evil without tutoring. He is just so pure and knowing. Half a month after attaining the Fa, Longh-Longh could sit in the lotus position for half an hour, and shortly after that, for 40 and 50 minutes, enduring the unbearable pain.

On May 9 this year, while Longh-Longh was at an experience sharing conference, he saw Teacher's law body standing in front of him encouraging him to advance in his cultivation. Longh-Longh was very excited and encouraged. He told other cultivators that he would join in Guarding the Fa.

Story No. 2

There is a Dafa cultivator who will be 85 years old this year. She has only one child, a son. When she was young, this old woman was a follower of Buddhism. She received Falun Dafa last year and was very excited, and has great respect for Dafa and our Teacher. Because of poor hearing and being illiterate, she asked her son to read Zhuan Falun to her. In only a few days, she could complete all five sets of exercises. She also said to her son, "Even though I cannot quickly memorize Zhuan Falun, I remember the name of our Teacher, and remember Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance".

A while ago her son wanted to go to Beijing to Guard Fa and was worried that his mother would be left without caring and resources. However during this time when Dafa and Teacher were suffering such unfair treatment, as a true cultivator, how could he be indifferent and stay at home? He chose to step out and explained his idea to his mother. He said to his mother that as the old saying goes, "Loyalty and filial piety do not always complement each other." After I leave, I will very likely be arrested and imprisoned. Tears came out, the old woman said to her son peacefully, "Go ahead, don't worry about me". The son was deeply moved by his mother's heart to Dafa and Teacher, and replied with tears "After I leave, you will have to rely on yourself for everything..."

Story No. 3

Yue-Yue is an 8-year-old grade two student. In early July of 1999, during his summer vacation, he went to his neighbor's after dinner and saw his neighbor was practicing Falun Dafa. Nobody said anything to him, and yet he watched Teacher's video teaching the exercises and then completed all five sets of exercises by himself.

When he got up the next morning, he said to his mother that there was something spinning in his abdomen. His Mom felt surprised and asked him what it was and he said it was something like a spinning wheel. The following morning, he told his mom that he had a dream in which he saw a very big Buddha sitting in the Lotus position on color clouds and there were two smaller Buddhas on each side, all displaying different hand gestures. Yue-Yue showed the gestures to his mother in a relatively accurate reproduction and told his mother that the bigger Buddha in the middle said to him "The law wheel I gave you is real and you should cultivate diligently". Yue-Yue asked, "Is it real?" and the bigger Buddha answered yes. Yue-Yue then bowed toward the Buddha and said, " Thank you Master". His mother was very amazed and told their neighbor about this. The neighbor then started teaching Yue-Yue Falun Dafa exercises, and played Teacher's Law Lecture audiotapes for him. A few days later, Yue-Yue told the neighbor: "Aunt, I dreamed last night that I went to a heaven where everything is so clean. Trees are golden, so are birds. There are big and beautiful buildings. Inside there are two gentlemen dressed in old costume playing chess". He mentioned again that the heaven looked so clean.

On July 22, the government started a slandering campaign against Falun Dafa. Yue-Yue was at this neighbor's home watching TV. He said: "Teacher asks us to be good people, then why is it that the TV program speaks ill of him? Why is it that the more the TV program makes malicious remarks about Falun Gong, the faster the law wheel spins in my abdomen?" The other day, Yue-Yue happened to be at the neighbor's when TV was reporting that a man had cut open his abdomen to look for a law wheel. He said Falun Gong was truly good and the man who cut himself was really insane by himself. Another day, again at the neighbor's home, the TV was showing a man who hung himself in order to go to heaven. Yue-Yue said it was insane for a person to commit suicide to go to heaven, Teacher never said man could go to heaven by killing himself. Aunt asked for his opinion after watching recent TV programs and he said that Falun Gong was truly good, so why does the TV say it is bad. Since Falun Gong was such a good cultivation system, why does CCTV-1 (Official Chinese Central TV Station) lie about it all the time?

This child is too young to understand why CCTV-1 made such obvious mistakes
