Promotion of Falun Dafa in Edmonton during Chinese New Year

Practitioners in Edmonton, Canada kicked off the Lunar Chinese New Year by exhibiting at the Chinese New Year Carnival festival held inside the Chinatown Strathcorner Mall.

Falun Dafa practitioners let the people know about the current persecution of Dafa practitioners in China from the Chinese government. After learning about the facts form the Dafa practitioners in Edmonton, many of them voluntarily offered support of the practice by joining the signing of a petition to the members of parliament. The petition was intended to urge the MPs to initiate a parliamentary resolution to pressure Chinese Government to stop the persecution, lift the ban on Falun Dafa practice in China, and establish dialogue with Master Li Hongzhi. Dafa Practitioners handed out a lot of REAL STORY brochures and newspapers.

At the exhibition table, Dafa practitioners answered questions; they also handed out literature and practice information for those interested to learn the cultivation practice. Videos of Master Li performing the exercises were shown to the public. On Saturday and Sunday, Falun Dafa Practitioners in Edmonton demonstrated the first four exercises of Falun Gong practice.

The exhibition helped to raise public awareness about Falun Dafa and the current situation in China. It also introduced the practice of Falun Dafa to the people who were unaware of Dafa and wanted to learn the cultivation practice.
