Around 6:00 PM on October 25th, my wife and my daughter were cooking together in the kitchen when the director of the Beiyuan Street Office and Wolong Residential District Office, Hu Yufen came into my house to take my daughter to her office. My daughter refused. A while later, Hu came back with six more people and carried my daughter to her office by force and detained her there illegally.
After being detained for eight days, all 13 practitioners who were detained there began a hunger strike. Three days after the hunger strike began, cadres from the Residential District Office called me to the office and told me to pay 1000 yuan (two months' average salary in China) to take my daughter home. I told them that because my daughter practiced Falun Gong, my family had already been illegally fined several thousand yuan, and we had no money to pay them. Since we are too poor to satisfy their greed, my daughter is still being detained illegally.
The are government officials, and yet they ignore the laws and regulations. They are making money by taking advantage of Falun Gong practitioners. How can people trust those government officials? Kindhearted people, please recognize their true nature.
