Recently, I attended a friend's wedding. I met an individual who worked at a travel agency. When we were discussing whether Falun Gong had organizational structure, she asserted that she could prove there was no organizational structure.

This is based on her experience in her travel agency. Once, there was a Falun Gong conference held in Hong Kong. A practitioner came to make a booking. When she advised the practitioner that she could get a group discount. The practitioner was a bit baffled and told her that each practitioner only represented him or herself. The practitioner would have no idea how many people were going to attend. Later on, more practitioners made bookings from her, but only in small groups of two or three. Most of them found out about the conference on the Internet. Some of them made last minute decision to go after they obtained permission to leave. To the casual observer, these many practitioners boarding the same plane would appear to be a unified group from a structured organization.

Some people find it rather incomprehensible that Falun Gong practitioners would spend time and money going all over to clarify the truth. An ancient Chinese saying may shed some light: "When one has benefited by a drop of water, one would likely return a bubbling spring". Let's take for instance, if I spent a lot of money for treatment on my illness every year and still could not get well. But after I began practicing Falun Gong, my illness disappeared, shouldn't I return a favor? Since Falun Gong does not ask for money nor accept donation, all I can do is to introduce this great Fa (Law/by trans.) to relatives and friends to benefit more people.

Now that Falun Gong is subjected to such horrendous slander and crackdown; as a beneficiary of Falun Gong, shouldn't I express my greatest indignation? Among the many practitioners, there are businessmen, scholars, doctors and lawyers, ... people from all walks of life. They would validate Dafa and clarify the truth to the public utilizing their particular expertise.

In fact, Jiang Zemin's attempt to obscure the true facts is too transparent. He and his followers make use of the mass media to deceive the people, badgering them with lies. Dissenting voices could not be heard. With unrelenting badgering, they hope truth will soon be blurred, and their lies will take the place of the truth.

If Falun Gong were not good, it would have already been eliminated from this competitive society where only the fittest could survive. Why bother mobilize such large national machineries, and go through such a long period of time to suppress it? The crackdown on Falun Gong, as it turns out, has resulted in more people from all over the world learning it, and more governments lending their sanction and support.

There are also people who are suspicious of the possibility that some "overseas specter" may be at work. Everybody knows the consequences of going to Tiananmen Square -- from being arrested and fined to being sent to labor camps and tortured. Under such circumstances, would you go even if you were offered a great deal of money? Then, why are still more and more people being arrested and jailed? If these were the convoluted workings of such "overseas specter", they would have conserved their resources and gone underground a long time ago. It is none other than the Falun Gong practitioners, who were fully aware of the consequences, and who astounded the world in the process, that were courageous enough to step forward to clarify the truth. They did not resort to violence, or conspiracy. They were not after any political or material gains. They were not concerned about their own safety. They epitomized the fearless, unyielding spirit and conscience of the responsible Chinese people.
