Transformation Center in Daliushu town, Weicheng District
In January 2000, more than 20 practitioners suffered inhumane treatment here.
Guanzhuang village: The town government forcibly arrested six practitioners, including the married couple Xinlan Xing and Qifu Yu, simply because they practiced Falun Gong. The officials beat them with a police baton all over their bodies. The government officials kicked them and struck their faces with the nail studded sole of a leather shoe. After they tortured them cruelly for three days and three nights, they fined the couple 28,000 Yuan, (about two years' average salary for a Chinese worker) then permitted them to go home. Other practitioners were also permitted to go home after they were fined different amounts of money. Since the couple Qi and Xing were constantly harassed, they left home in October and no one knows their whereabouts.
Liunan Village: Ailing Pan was fined 25,000 Yuan and suffered a fierce beating along with Xing and Qifu. Guilan Geng, from the same village, was forced to submit 400 Yuan after being beaten-up.
Liuxi Village: Laigui Wang was beaten and fined 1,000 Yuan, while Jinghua Pan was fined 5,000 Yuan after being persecuted.
Liubei Village: Xinglan Xuan, a 56-year-old woman, fainted after being beaten by a town official with his fist.
Panjia Village: Five practitioners, including LiJing Pan, suffered the same type of beating and fine.
Caijiahezi Village: The married couple Chengshou Wu and Xian Wang were arrested at their home without just cause. They were beaten and fined more than 20,000 Yuan, but they still take a firm stand for Falun Dafa. When their 15-year-old son brought some food for them, the he was also beaten. In July of this year, this couple went to Beijing to appeal and no one knows where they are right now.
Sanjia Village: Xuejun Sun was arrested when he appealed in Beijing. After being escorted home, the police beat him cruelly with their batons, and fined him 50,000 Yuan before he was released. In September, he was arrested and beaten again for distributing literature, which explained the true facts about Falun Gong. Now he has been sentenced to a labor-camp. The town government extorted 120,000 Yuan illegally in just one day. These dishonest officials use money earned by the sweat and toil of practitioners for feasting, gambling, visiting prostitutes, and running up large mobile phone bills. The impact on society is very bad.

Thirty-year-old Jin Feng Wang, from Wanglin Village, is a peasant day care teacher. She went to appeal on August 3, 2000, and was arrested, but she managed to escape. In the middle of October, she was arrested again by the town government without being given any reason. She was tied to a cross shaped bench. The police beat her so hard with a leather pipe that her body was a tangled mess of blood and flesh. Her back was massively black and purple. Unable to tolerate the torture, she went on a hunger strike for 7 days. She cut her wrist with glass, and swallowed pieces of glass and a pin. She was then sent to the hospital, and her father spent 8,300 Yuan to bail her out. At the end of October, she was taken away once again for 30 days' detention. She has just now come back home.
Xiuju Guo is a 30 years old employee of the town. She went to Beijing to appeal on August 3rd of 2000, and was beaten by 4 "hired thugs" using leather pipes. Three of the men's names were Quan'En Zheng, YuJin Sun and Bo Liu. She was also fined 10,000 Yuan and 3 months' salary was deducted from her pay. She was detained for 30 days without reason from the end of October and was not released until today.
Ji Guang Yang is a 40-year-old man from Zhuangtou Village. He was taken away from home by town officials and beaten until he lost consciousness. He was sent to the town hospital for emergency rescue. After he was out of immediate danger of dying, they beat him again, and again he had to be sent to Weifang City Hospital for resuscitation.
Chuanting Liu, a 60-year-old woman from HuaixingVillage, was detained for 15 days for distributing literature which told the truth about Falun Dafa.
Transformation Center in Junbukou town, Weicheng District
On the night of October 29, six practitioners, including Liu Zhigang, were escorted back from Beijing and detained in a small room in Junbukou Police Station. They were beaten up one by one. Their screams of pain were terrifying. Later they were sent to the Detention Center to be held for 30 days, but they have not been released until today. The village committee is still detaining not only the practitioners who went to appeal, but also the practitioners who stayed home and their relatives. They were not allowed to sleep and had to eat cold, steamed buns; they too, were beaten. The town officials forced practitioners to turn over their money, saying that if they did not submit money, they would not be released. Up to now, they are still detaining 3 practitioners who did not submit money. Now these three practitioners have been transferred to the town government for detention. The director of Junbukou town is very evil. He even tortured the relatives of the practitioners. Baowen Li, a female government official, ransomed every practitioner, claiming that she would not release anyone unless practitioners submitted money.
Aixiang Xuan, a 52-year-old woman from the developing district in Weifang City, went for peaceful appeal on October 26, 2000. She was taken back in the same van that Junbukou town had sent to Beijing on October 29th. When the police of the developing district went to pick them up, Baowen Li tried to ask for 3,000 Yuan from them but she was refused. Then she detained Aixiang Xuan in the village committee and handcuffed her behind with one hand coming from the shoulder and the other hand coming up from the lower back. They also beat her with fists and feet and let her sit on the floor for a whole night. The next day, a village officer stepped on her hair while beating her face, trying to force her to submit the money. Her relatives submitted 2,000 Yuan to get her back.
