After talking to those "exemplary" converts released from detention centers including Masanjia (Liaoning Province), Tianhetang (Beijing) and Tuanhe (Beijing), I felt a bit confused--for a brief period--about the form of Dafa cultivation. I didn't wake up until I had had discussions with fellow practitioners, and reviewed Teacher's scriptures "Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)", "Rationality", and "Deter Interference", etc. Then, I realized Teacher had explicitly told the disciples of this situation a long time ago; but limited by my shallow understanding of the Fa, I had not been able to awaken to it previously. Looking back on that experience, I found I have learned a lot, especially as the myriad of my own attachments and the evil of the old forces in the universe were illuminated and made clear to me. The first thought coming to my mind involves my attachment to hearing what others had to say--or to seeing whether their remarks made any sense. What resulted was exactly what Teacher characterized, "When you listen to them, bad things will enter your ears". (Lecture Six, Zhuan Falun) Subconsciously, and muddle-headedly, I was mesmerized--and almost in agreement--with their points, which could have led to serious consequences. This must have stemmed from my pursuit mentality and weak main consciousness. As Teacher says, "By going there to listen, didn't you want to seek something? If you didn't listen with your ears, how did it get into your body?" (Lecture Six, Zhuan Falun) There were also practitioners who were curious how they could mislead the practitioners. Such a thought compelled them to listen--and they themselves were almost deceived. Given this apparent omission, a question would naturally arise: How to mend such an omission? The answer, unsurprisingly, lies in more intensive Dafa studies. "The Fa can reveal all attachments, the Fa can eradicate all evils, the Fa can expose and dispel all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." Besides, I became more aware of the importance associated with strengthening the main consciousness. We can only be enlightened to the original text and meanings of the Dafa; never should we request anything else. Second, I came to most intuitively recognize the evil essence behind the seemingly sensible but actually false words spread by the bunch from Masanjia. Regarding their slandering and wicked theories, I initially took them as some digressions in enlightening, as opposed to pure enlightening. Later, when I had thoroughly studied Teacher's scriptures again, I came to understand that they turned out to be precisely the opposite of righteous enlightening. The old forces in the universe arranged this matter. They exploited those dregs of humanity and buffoons to excessively promote the emptiness of Zen Buddhism. Under the cloak of helping practitioners to make progress, they were wrecking the righteous beliefs of the practitioners and harming Dafa. When it comes to Zen Buddhism, Teacher made it very clear that, "Being free of attachments is the true state of emptiness. It does not mean that there is no existence of matter." Ostensibly, we should minimize any contacts with those people--to be in line with the principle of being constant in just one cultivation school. More fundamentally, from the perspective of righteousness versus evil, they should be boycotted. Nobody should be audience to their deceiving chatter, and nobody should give them any audience--as put by Teacher in Zhuan Falun, "If you really want to practice cultivation in Falun Dafa, you should not go and listen to them." (Lecture Six) This will essentially suffocate the evil. At the very least, those from Masanjia did carry negative and black substances in their bodies. On this issue, Teacher exhorts us in Zhuan Falun, "If those people really carry something, however, it will be very bad, and it is better not to make any contact with them". (Lecture Six) Some fellow practitioners were misled by their deceptive and skin-deep "benevolence". They even thought those people were more benevolent than themselves, which led to their wavering about Dafa cultivation. Concerning this issue, I have two comments. First, whatever their conduct on the surface, they are beings of lower form exhibiting deceptive benevolence. Beneath the mask of the deceptive benevolence is a dark and wicked heart. They are what Master described in scripture "Solidarity": "They are undermining the students' upstanding faith and determination by exhibiting or telling the practitioners some of their understanding based on their own notions. ... Actually, those are all very low-level things and deceptive lies." Some fellow practitioners have realized, through hints by Teacher that those people from Masanjia were trying to have them drink tasty poisons. Second, as Dafa practitioners, our cultivated parts were separated immediately; what remains in the human world is the part yet to be cultivated. This, however, does not mean we are no good or not benevolent. When the time arrives for the Dafa practitioners to fully demonstrate their mighty virtues, what unfolds will truly be the most shining radiance. We are beings cultivating within Dafa. We should stand from the basis of Dafa to see everything more cool-headedly, more judiciously. We should understand every matter from its essence, rather than our being misled by its superficiality. Moreover, this matter is related to our faith in Teacher and in Dafa. None of us is worthy of discussing Dafa; nor should we study the Fa from different angles. We can only use our righteous thinking to understand the Fa in a positive way--this is most correct. In Zhuan Falun, Teacher says, "I am a person who will not say what he does not want to say, but what I say must be true. Especially under this circumstance, it I do not tell the truth in teaching the Fa, if I make inconceivable statements, or if I speak aimlessly or casually, I will be teaching an evil Fa." As far as I am concerned, this sentence is extremely weighty. At present, this evil force, despite their numbered days, is still raging across Mainland China. Some work units, under the pretext of work requirements, have forced their regular or retired employees to interact with those from Masanjia. Are those normal training programs? I personally don't believe those people kowtowing to the will of their work units and visiting places like Masanjia are merely following the course of nature. Aren't they acquiescence to evil? In "Expounding the Fa", it says, "You should also be clear that 'natural' does not exist, and there is a reason for 'inevitability'. ... You think all these tribulations are inevitable and this is just the way it is, thereby developing a passive and pessimistic attitude." I gradually realized where I fell behind through studying the Fa. Allowing this kind of "tutoring" amounts to indulging evil. And indulging evil is harming the righteousness. We have the obligations to eliminate the evil voluntarily with wisdom, to give up the demonic nature voluntarily, and to take the initiative to safeguard the righteousness. In the same process, we are cultivating the mighty benevolence and mighty tolerance, instead of being led by demons. Thereafter, I had a deeper understanding of the Western practitioner's article "eliminating demonic nature" and the commentary by Teacher. In fact, no matter how much consideration the organizers in your units seem to have on your behalf, they essentially are accomplices of those demons. When real cultivators stay unmoved at the test of sentimentality and refuse to make the mandatory trips, those people's evil side immediately comes into the spotlight: "you have to be personally responsible for all the subsequent consequences." Some practitioners come face to face with the threats of being fired, expropriation of housing, or labor camps--all with a contemptuous smile. They understand that man has never been the master for himself, and more importantly, giving up all we have as Dafa practitioners for the sake of Dafa is where our obligations lie. Even measured against the laws governing the humans' dimension, their mandatory conversion in such a brutal manner constitutes a trampling of basic human rights, and an open blasphemy of the laws and justice. The above are my personal experiences. In retrospect, I felt ashamed that I didn't live up to Teacher's expectations. At any rate, I did something to Dafa that no practitioners should ever do. And my lesson is really poignant. I wrote this article only to give a reminder to all the practitioners: understanding Dafa from the bottom of our hearts; strengthening our rationality; and keeping up with righteous thinking and enlightening. Let's fundamentally suffocate the evil and eliminate demons voluntarily. Let's have the courage to say "No!" to the evil. A Beijing-based practitioner
