[Minghui] Since the beginning of the illegal crackdown against Falun Dafa in July 1999, Miyun County Detention Center has continuously tortured Falun Dafa practitioners detained there. In November 1999, one female practitioner was taken out of her cell in cuffs (her hands were cuffed behind her back) and shackles because she practiced Falun Gong exercises in her cell. Then the guards ordered several prisoners to take turns pulling her along the ground for four hours. The skin on her ankles was badly injured and a 4-inch wound developed.
Practitioners from other cities or towns, after they were detained, generally did not give out their names and home addresses. The guards used this as an excuse to violently beat them. Last winter a female practitioner in her 60's from outside Beijing was cuffed and shackled, and her shackles were put on with the chain twisted so that she could not take big steps. The guards ordered several prisoners to use sticks to urge her to walk faster. If she could not walk fast, the prisoners would hit her over the head with the sticks. The elderly lady was beaten so badly that she became dizzy and could not hold her position any more. She fell down on the ground and lost consciousness. The guards took her to a clinic for emergency treatment, and lied by saying that she struck her head against the wall because she wanted to commit suicide. As for some young practitioners, besides being cuffed and shackled, their feet are also put on boards so that they can not walk. The guards order several prisoners to pull them to walk in circles. Some practitioners are forced to lie flat on boards and then their bodies arre tied to the boards at their waist with metal rings. The guards called this "carrying a big board on the back."
This torture sometimes lasted for dozens of hours, with the longest being 240 hours. This torture did not stop even when the practitioners had to pass stool or urine. They had to do all this on the boards. Soaked in feces and urine and rubbing against the boards made the inflammation on their bodies fester; and they had pus and blood dripping. One time, several dozen practitioners from other cities or towns were tortured this way at Miyun County Detention Center.
Once, three practitioners were violently beaten by a guard whose last name was Li, because they practiced the Falun Gong exercises. The guard Li first poured cold water on the practitioners' heads, and then started to beat their heads and backs with a leather strap. One of the practitioners was beaten so badly that he could not breathe and almost lost consciousness. Then the guard started to use shoes to slap practitioners' faces.. These beaten practitioners had been on a hunger strike for 16 days. This guard acted this way for 40 minutes and stopped only when he became tired. After the beating, he tied the practitioners' bodies to the boards and once more beat the face of one of the practitioners with a shoe. After this, he had two buckets of cold water prepared and poured the water onto their heads and bodies during winter. The practitioners were almost frozen to death. The guard tortured the practitioners this way from 3 am to 7 pm, when he went home. The guard on the next shift released the practitioners from the torture. The faces of the practitioners were badly swollen and became dark purple. The marks from the shoe beating can be seen even today).
On January 6, as the practitioners practiced exercises in the cell, the guards rushed in and pulled the practitioners out of the cell. Some practitioners' hair was pulled out. Every practitioner was badly beaten. One elderly lady was pushed down to the snow-covered ground. Her mouth was then stuffed with her socks. One female guard with the last name Wang acted in collusion with the head of the detention center with the last name Li. They plotted and guided this torture. They also called armed police in and wanted them to beat practitioners. Fortunately some of the armed policemen were good-hearted and did not participate and left when they saw the cruelty.
Some guards in the detention center were extremely sinister and ruthless. To conquer Dafa practitioners, they resorted to malicious torture that normal people could not imagine. They shackled three practitioners together. If one moved, all three would fall down. Once, an elderly lady was put in the middle position; when others moved, she fell down and lost consciousness.
In the summer of 2000, some practitioners were caught and put into the detention center because they practiced Falun Gong exercises along a river. They started a hunger strike because of the illegal detainment. As a result, the guards whipped each female practitioner 60 times and lashed each male practitioner with leather belts 100 times. The female guard with the last name Wang took off an elderly lady's pants and started to whip her buttocks with a leather belt 52 times.. As the condition of the elderly lady was not good, they became afraid and took her to the county hospital to check her. The elderly lady's heartbeat was as fast as 130 times per minute. The next day when they released the elderly lady, they made her promise to keep silent; otherwise they would detain her again.
Crimes, like the above-mentioned cases, committed by the guards of Miyun County Detention Center are countless. What are mentioned are just a small part of their crimes. The brutality of the guards against Dafa practitioners is unforgivable. Their crimes will not be tolerated. There is an everlasting principle that the good will be rewarded with good and the evil with evil. The evil persons must repay their crimes when the time to pay back comes. Their lives will not come to a good end.
