[Wuhan, Hubei Province] Tian Baozhen, Practitioner from Wuhan City, Appealed in Beijin and Died from Injuries Incurred at the Tiananmen Police Substation
Tian Baozhen, a 40 year-old female practitioner, lived the residential area of the Hubei Textile Design Institute at Yuejiazui in the Wuchang District of Wuhan City. In November 2000, she went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for the redress of wrongs against Falun Dafa, together with several practitioners. However she was detained without cause by the officers of the Tiananmen Police Substation. Tian Baozhen refused to give them her address, and was beaten up by the police. She then went on a hunger strike to obtain her freedom, however, she was interrogated, beaten up again and then force-fed. Ten days later, Tian Baozhen told the Beijing police that she was from Henan Province. After that she was brought back by the Henan police. After arriving in Henan Province, Tian Baozhen told the police she was not from Henan Province. At the sight of Tian's condition and extreme weakness due to her hunger strike and the vicious beatings she recieved, the Henan police released her. With her great fortitude, Tian Baozhen got on the train heading toward Wuhan City. After she arrived at the Wuhan railway station, she was too feeble to even move. She called home and her husband retrieved her from the train station by taxi then carried her on his shoulders up to their apartment on the fifth floor. After several days' rest at home, Tian Baozhen passed away on December 11, 2000. The purple traumas on her both arms due to the police stomping on them were still shocking to our eyes.
On December 13, those practitioners who heard about Tian's death attended her funeral. Practitioners sent her a verse, "The Pure Plum Flower is the First to Bloom in Cold Winter; The Righteous and Expansive Heart is to Encourage Fellow Practitioners", to express their deep respect for she who has given up her own life to protect Falun Dafa. They believe that the evil will soon be eliminated and a bright future is drawing near.
Tian Baozhen was kind and always ready to help others. She was commonly recognized as good person in the neighborhood. In addition, she did a lot of work for Falun Dafa. Following her steps, the practitioners in Wuhan City will go on protecting and promoting Falun Dafa in order to suffocate the evil.
[Beijing] Validating Dafa in Tiananmen Square
On October 28, on a sunny day, we went to Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa. A group of us, more than ten practitioners, went to Tiananmen Square together to fulfill our great vow. At first, we walked around the square in order to select a place where we could hold the banner for a long time. Following the previous arrangement, we entered the square, formed a circle, and unfurled the banner reading, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and shouted resoundingly, "Falun Dafa is Good," "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa", "Restore Falun Dafa's Reputation". At that time, we felt we were so powerful and great as a particle of Dafa.
Uniformed, plainclothes policemen and rogues came at us like wild animals. We firmly and steadily held up the banner "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance". We chanted, "Falun Dafa is Good". Though our banners were torn from our hands, I stood there firmly and witnessed the scene of the evil suppressing Dafa practitioners. Another practitioner and I were not arrested. With calm and pure hearts, we left Tiananmen Square.
On the way back home, we felt although we had fulfilled the vow to validate Dafa, that each and every practitioner, should "assist Teacher in the human world" as long as the evil has not been eliminated. Walk every step with a clear mind in the process of the Fa-rectification and clarifying the truth, and to welcome the day of jubilation for the entire world.
[Jining, Shandong Province] All Practitioners in Jining City were Forced to Attend a "Transformation Class".
According to practitioners in Jining City, the Political and Law Committee required every company to report those practitioners who continued to practice Falun Dafa cultivation and force them to attend a"transformation class". The charge is 2,000 Yuan for each person. Relatives of those practitioners were also required to cooperate, to study and transform together. Everyone is required to criticize and defame Dafa, otherwise, he or she will be expelled from work or sent to a labor camp. It is possible that this was a nationwide campaign as there was a "red-header" official document from the ministry level present at the "transformation class".

Recently, police in Shenyang city took some practitioners' palm-prints and fingerprints. These practitioners may consider using gloves when distributing Dafa materials.
[Wendeng, Shandong Province] Information About Practitioners Being Detained and Abused in Wendeng City.
Fang Zhongchun from Songchun Town, Liu Changfan from Liujia Town, Liu Changzhi, Shao Xirong, Shao Shushan, Jiang Houju from Houjia Town in Wendeng City were all beaten up and force-fed by police due to practicing Falun Gong or appealing in Beijing.
Fang Zhongchun, Du Kesong, Xu Jie, Wang Yue'e, Lin Zhiguan, Qiu Lijuan from Songchun Town, Liu Changfan, Liu Changzhi, Shao Xirong, Shao Shushan, Jiang Houju from Houjia Town, Shi Yongling from Kouzi Town, Li Xufen from Mishan Town were illegally sent to labor camp because they continued practicing and appealing for Falun Dafa.
Most practitioners were sentenced to three years of labor re-education except for a few, who were sentenced to one year.

A few days ago, while distributing Falun Gong material, two female practitioners were captured by janitors in a residential complex. The janitors called the police and had the practitioners arrested by the police. The police in the residential area had informed the janitors and elevator operators that they could claim 1 Yuan for each Falun Gong flyer found and 100 Yuan for each practitioner turned in.
The fact that these janitors are willing to do such evil work for such little money is really deplorable.
[Xiamen, Fujian Province] Practitioners in Xiamen, were Arrested at Home
Ye Mi, a female lecturer in the Department of Arts, Xiamen University was arrested at her home during a police raid at 11PM on November 23, 2000. Until now, she remains in police detention. She has a 7-year-old child at home. Arrested at the same time were Shi Birong and her husband Chen Shaojian. The couple has a 14-year-old boy, a 7-year-old girl and an 80-year-old father at home.

Zeng Lihua, female, 1 year of labor camp for her appealing to Beijing;
Chen Ronghui, male, 4 years in jail for appealing to Beijing;
Zhao Ailian, female, 3.5 years in jail for appealing to Beijing;
Yu Aihua, female, 3 years in jail for appeal to Beijing;
Xie Kefeng, student in Chemistry Department, Xiamen University, suspended from school for 2 years for appealing to Beijing.
Zheng Peiru, graduate student in Department of Oceanography, Xiamen University, suspected of distributing flyers, on bail and awaiting trial.
Xu Xiaodong, a general manager of Xiahua Group Inc., detained for storing Falun Gong information in his computer.
Wu Shengxian, student in Department of Automation, Xiamen University, suspended from school for 1 year.
Xue Yulun, an employee at Xiamen Soy Sauce Plant, 1 month detention plus 1 year supervision by police.

[Guangxi Province] Information from Guangxi Province
Zhao Yuqin (pseudonym) of Guangxi Province has been elected as a model for self- employed business owners year after year. Now her business license has been suspended because of practicing Falun Gong.
Falun Gong practitioner Li Feng (pseudonym) was a good college student in both academic achievement and moral standard. Now he has been expelled from school and watched by police. Recently, he was put into jail for saying, "I will go to Beijing to appeal to the government."
[Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Persecutors of Falun Gong Practitioners Pay Their Debts.
Luan XX, a former Party Secretary at a local university, used to practice Falun Gong himself. He viciously persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. In June 2000, he spotted some practitioners on campus practicing the Falun Gong exercise and reported them immediately to the police. As a result, many practitioners were summoned and persecuted by the police. Within a week, he broke his right arm when going upstairs, which verified an old saying "Good or bad will all be rewarded".
Zhong XX, a former deputy Party Secretary at a local university (now dismissed), maliciously persecuted practitioners while holding that position. He suggested the idea of expelling practitioners from work and school under the excuse of absence from work and class. However, he lost in an election during a recent Party conference and now no longer holds an official title.
Xu XX, a practitioner at a local university, distributed materials that disclose the true facts about the persecution of Falun Gong during the National Day holiday. She was arrested by the police and has been in detention up until now. From a certain source it was said that she was already sentenced to one year of labor re-education. She is a divorced, single mother with an 8-year-old boy. They are in grave difficulty. Kind- hearted people please provide help to them.
