Teacher tells us, "Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence." I take a look at these words on Minghui everyday. However, obsessed with "outcomes" and "tactics", I am still easily attached to the matters themselves. While the big test which I previously thought to be short-lived passed its first year and was entering its second year, I started to lose patience--with how little I had done, with how poor my language skills were, and with how ineloquent I was... Then I decided to make an effort to improve myself on these aspects. However, the time and news from Mainland China only fuelled my impatience. I felt frustrated with my incompetence and ashamed to fail the expectations of Teacher and Dafa. Going to Tiananmen as do practitioners in China seemed to be something I'd rather do--even though it might mean death. I would feel better that way compared with the torment I had to suffer in my heart everyday; I believe many fellow practitioners overseas must have had similar experiences.
Many parades, thousands of distributed newspapers, and numerous brainstorms later, our hearts are closely bonded together--we've collectively made another round of cultivation in this environment newly carved-out by Teacher himself. Whenever I felt agitated, I settled down to read the Fa with a tranquil mind. Whenever I was confused by some unexplainable events in the tribulation, I settled down to read the Fa with a tranquil mind. Whenever I was confused over disagreements with fellow practitioners, I settled down to read the Fa with a tranquil mind. Every time, I could truly feel that "The Fa can reveal all attachments, the Fa can eradicate all evils, the Fa can expose and dispel all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Deter Interference") Whatever correct thoughts I have before reading the Fa, I can pinpoint their shortcomings afterwards. I've been stumbling all along to come to today's stage. However, when looking at Minghui, I ask myself: Aren't the answers already presented before you everyday? Everything that has happened or is happening--in the past or at present--is helping us to cultivate rationality, wisdom and benevolence. In a moment, I feel my mind has been greatly opened up. I understand the following questions constitute the daily challenges I have to face: (1) whether or not I have solid and righteous thought about the Fa; (2) whether or not I have cultivated to the stage of rationality, wisdom and benevolence.
In "Eliminate Evil", Teacher says, "On the path to Consummation, there will always be tests to see if a person believes in the Fa at his core." I believe this is Teacher's patient reiteration, telling us everything is a test for us. We are bound to meet with obstacles during the truth-telling process, and there is bound to be interference from human mentalities. However, as long as we are committed to the Fa and Teacher, making diligent progress, and looking within for causes of mistakes, we will be able to cultivate rationality, wisdom and benevolence along the path arranged by Teacher.
