On November 19, a residential area in a district of Tokyo celebrated an amateur organization performance for the first time. The commissioner and six councilors of the district, 56 representatives from the district, 35 chairmen of every amateur organization and 53 families from a disaster area were invited to the performance. Regarding this as a valuable opportunity to promote Dafa to the local Japanese people, practitioners at our practice site applied to attend this activity.
After a brief introduction of Falun Gong by the sponsor, we dressed in yellow sportswear that read "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance," and went on the stage to show the five sets of exercises. Dafa music was resounding with a harmonious melody. A local Japanese practitioner said, "Your performances are marvelous. Everyone could find elegance and harmony from the Dafa exercises." During our performance, several people from the audience could not help trying to imitate the exercises.
From this event, we learned that we should pay more attention to chances like this to promote Dafa to the local Japanese people. We should be well prepared and try our best to promote Dafa more effectively in Japan.
