[Minghui Net] According to a "Zhongshi Nightly" report on December 13, the number of Falun Gong practitioners in Taiwan tripled in just one and a half years and is estimated to be above 100,000. More and more people started to join the practice to look for the "truth of life".
According to the report, the greatest contributing factor to Falun Gong's increasing popularity in Taiwan is its simplicity. By reading books and watching videotapes, anyone can understand the essence of the teachings of the founder of Falun Gong, Mr. Li Hongzhi. The main book of Mr. Li Hongzhi is "Zhuan Falun," which can be read individually or in a group. But in Taiwan, Falun Gong practitioners always meet at practice sites to exchange experiences.
The report says Falun Gong practice sites can be found all across Taiwan, in parks, squares, schools, or residential buildings. Since there's no membership in Falun Gong and practitioners come and go at will, the Taiwan Falun Gong Research Society cannot obtain the exact number of practitioners.
