The Great Lakes Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference of North America was successfully held in the University of Michigan at 10 AM on December 9, 2000. Hundreds of Chinese and westerner practitioners coming mainly from the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada exchanged their cultivation experiences over the past year, focusing on the theme of how to tell the truth about Falun Gong to the public. The conference atmosphere was solemn.
Teacher Li Hongzhi showed up, in the afternoon, and gave a speech to the attendees. In his speech, the Teacher reaffirmed the progress overseas practitioners had made on their way of cultivation. He also highly commended the actions the practitioners who have stepped forward to tell the truth to the public took in an endeavor to save the sentient beings, regardless of the tremendous suffering they have gone through personally. All practitioners were once again touched by Teacher's enormous compassion and grand vision.
It is a general consensus among the practitioners who attended the conference that the current tribulation - the most evil test in history - has been coming to an end. All of us should by all means cherish the time and opportunity that the Teacher created for us, with a great deal of his effort, do a better job in telling the truth of Falun Gong to the public and assisting the Teacher in saving the people, and do well in the last step towards consummation.
