The community association in Ti Qiu, the City of Fukuoka in Japan held their 12th cultural festival on November 19, 2000 and Falun Gong practitioners were among those invited to the festival to demonstrate Falun Gong movements. The practitioners took advantage of this opportunity to promote the Fa and to clarify the truth about the situation in China.
Practitioners set up an information desk on that day. They wore golden yellow practice uniforms printed with the words "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" which made them stand out of the crowd at the festival. Practitioners took the opportunity to distribute newspapers and clarify the truth. After finding out what actually happened, some Japanese people expressed their interest in learning Falun Gong. Practitioners spotted many people following along with their movements during the demonstration on stage. Afterwards, the head of the community center especially thanked them for attending this activity and he is going to provide practitioners with the use of the community center every weekend.
It is worth mentioning that several native Japanese practitioners were actively involved in the whole process from activity planning and organizing to the demonstration of the exercises. During this activity, practitioners came to realize the importance of putting into play the strength of each practitioner as a particle within Dafa and advancing in cultivation as a whole.
