The U.S. Election that takes place once every four years is a perfect opportunity for us to clarify the truth and to spread Dafa. Participants of the election are from different levels of governments and from different social classes: from the President to senators and house representatives, from state senators and house representatives to the county congress people, from the mayors to the police officers and the committee members. All these participants are very enthusiastic in social work and they have tremendous influence on public opinion. They also represent different organizations and parties representing different interests and different values, such as Republicans, Democrats, the Green Party, the Natural Law Party, the Freedom Party and the Constitutional Party. During the election period, their phone numbers and addresses as well as email addresses are open to the public on the Internet. They listen to what the public is saying and they try to gain the support of the public. This is really an unprecedented opportunity in terms of depth and width, and in terms of convenience and feasibility. It is waiting for us to take good use of it. Dafa can reach every corner and every aspect of the society.
Realizing how precious this opportunity is, Falun Gong practitioners in San Francisco are trying to use all means to spread Dafa and clarify the truth to election participants. One way is to send email messages to participants who have email accounts, introducing them to Falun Gong and the persecution that practitioners in China are experiencing , and asking them to take a stand on this matter. We are sending out messages and we have received very positive responses. Some have said that they are very concerned about the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners; some have said that they will use every chance to express their support to Falun Gong; some have said that they will help us hold press conferences; some have said that they have asked their mayor to take the initiative to give a proclamation to Falun Gong; some have showed their support to Falun Gong openly and also asked what else they can do to help us. The election is far more than just an election!
We suddenly feel an urge in our hearts. How many chances like this will we have in the future? November 7th is the Election Day. Let us hurry up!
