[Linshui County, Sichuan Province] A Summary of recent persecution of Linshui practitioners

1. Chen Zizai (a pseudo name), 69, is a retired worker. He was arrested on July 12^th for going to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. He was detained in Beijing for 8 days and then detained in Linshui for another 15 days. He was forced to pay a fine of 3000 Yuan (3 months average salary).
2. Tang Sulan, 60, was arrested in Beijing on December 24^th, 1999 for making an appeal for Falun Gong. She was released after serving a 3-month detention in Linshui and paying a fine of 1240 Yuan. She was arrested again on July 25^th, 2000 for posting Falun Gong flyers, and the police ransacked her home as well. She is still being held in the local detention center to this day.
3. Mei Xuezhu (a pseudo name), 38, was arrested in Beijing on June 30^th, 2000 for authoring an appeal for Falun Gong and was detained in Linshui for 28 days.
4. Liu Wei (a pseudo name), 36, is the owner of a small business. He was arrested in Beijing on July 12^th, 2000 for making an appeal for Falun Gong. He was detained for 8 days in Beijing and then another 15 days in Linshui.
5. Zhang Haoqiang (a pseudo name), 31, was arrested on July 25^th, 2000 when the police came to arrest his mother Tang Sulan and ransacked their home. He refused to let the police into their home, and was arrested on the scene. He was forced to serve a 15-day detention.

Note: the police who came to ransack his home included: Li Jieliang (the captain of the Public Security Squad), Wang Gonggao (another person in charge of the Public Security Squad), and Feng Yin. The deputy captain of the squad with the surname of Hu is in charge of handing out punishment after the arrest.

6. Hua Fei (a pseudo name) was detained from January 3^rd to March 21^st and June 30^th to Jul 27^th of 2000 for no apparent reason. His home was ransacked recently, and he has been thrown into the local detention center a third time.

[Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Practitioners Zhao Suzhen and Zhou Huiyu arrested

Practitioners Zhao Suzhen and Zhou Huiyu were arrested on November 12^th for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying material in a certain section of Guangzhou. They were thrown into jail at the Wushang Police Station several days ago. Local practitioners were not allowed to contact their family members, so that they can go to the police station to ask for the practitioners' release. It is possible that the husband of Zhao Suzhen has enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Hong Kong. Please publish this news item on Minghui, so their families can find out what has happened to them.

On the evening of November 14^th, a giant white circle of light could be seen next to the moon in Changchun. The next morning, a rainbow-colored circle of light could be seen next to the sun. It lasted a considerable length of time.
