Hello!
My name is Thomas and I am 17 years old. I am writing to you, because I want to share my opinion about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the horrifying treatment that Falun Gong practitioners are suffering in China.
I have been practising Falun Gong for about two years. To practice the Falun Gong exercises and read the Falun Gong books have benefited me greatly both physically and mentally.
Physically I have become more energetic and my whole body feels healthy and light. Mentally I have become a better person. I have become more friendly and tolerant to other people. I can study and work better in school. I always try to be friendly to other people, and think of other people before myself. To practice Falun Gong has helped me to give up and avoid bad deeds and habits. When you learn Falun Gong you learn how to become a better person and live according to Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance)
It is very difficult for me to understand why Jiang Zemin is so scared of Falun Gong. Does he think it is bad that citizens become good people and live in accordance with truth-compassion-forbearance? It is true that there are many people who practice Falun Gong. 70-100 million people are a large number, but Falun Gong teaches people to be good. If there are more good people the society will be better. Why is Jiang Zemin scared of good people? Even though the Chinese government under the leadership of Jiang Zemin has endlessly and persistently been spreading false accusations against Falun Gong, many people are capable of seeing through the lies.
I think it is impossible to understand the behaviour of Jiang Zemin and his followers. Why do they treat people who want to be good so brutally? It seems that these few people who have power in the Chinese government do not like good people, and want to suppress everything that is good. Is a government like this good for its citizens?
As a matter of fact, Falun Gong gives people better health and teaches people to become good. I hope that those who have close ties to the Chinese government will not get cheated by the false stories and evil propaganda spread by the Chinese authorities against Falun Gong. I hope and wish that you would know the real truth of Falun Gong. That is why I wrote this letter to you. Moreover, I want to share my opinion about the good effects that Falun Gong has given to the people in China and all over the world.
