During the New York Falun Dafa Conference in early September, many regions shared their experiences of Hongfa (introducing Falun Dafa to the public) by using various channels, making us realize that we still have much room to improve ourselves while conducting Hongfa activities.
In his article Rationality, Teacher says, "Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence ." When talking about the evil's persecution of Dafa, our Teacher says, "The actions they are now adopting in the persecution of Dafa and its practitioners are extremely wicked and shameful, and they fear these will be exposed. Their evilness must be made known to people around the world. " (Rationality)
The New York Falun Dafa Conference seemed to have blown another clarion call for further diligent advances. Many practitioners realized the urgency and importance of Hongfa activities, and felt shameful because Hongfa in the Western US region had fallen behind. Hongfa is the responsibility of every one of us. Then how shall we do it in accord to the specific situation of San Francisco? We had a lively discussion. The area in front of the grand and classic city hall is a must-see for almost every tourist. This is an excellent place for Hongfa. We started to send out the message of Falun Dafa from this tiny window of the world to the visitors from different countries. Currently we have introductory Falun Dafa materials in English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, Yiddish, Swedish, Danish, Dutch, etc. We have not had Portuguese and Japanese versions yet, but we are trying to collect them. Meanwhile we also set up Hongfa spots in Golden Gate Park and Chinatown.
At the Hongfa spots, some of us practice the exercises, while some others hand out materials to the tourists. Some tour guides for Chinese tourists even help us with Hongfa by introducing the Falun Dafa materials to their guests. Tourists come from all over the world. Some say Falun Gong is good and some want to learn. There are also people who are against us, but they are only a few. They say something bad. When this happens, we do not talk to them, and give them no market.
Because there are many Chinese people in San Francisco, especially in Chinatown, the assistance center often arranges activities to spread Dafa in Chinatown by handing out materials and doing exercises in groups. Some practitioners initiate the effort of sending Dafa materials to the libraries, restaurants and barbershops. With the approval of the staff members, Dafa materials are available free to the customers. Doing things this way has achieved a very good result.
We will step forward and try our best to clarify the truth of Falun Gong with all kinds of methods and assist Teacher in the human world.
