[Liaonin Province] The evil in Masanjia Labor Education Camp in Liaoning Province
According to the insiders, the police in Masanjia Labor Education Camp are extremely brutal and evil. They strip the clothes completely off the female practitioners and hit their genitals and other private parts. Some female practitioners couldn't walk for days because their genitals turned red and swollen from the beating. Now, to forcefully transform the practitioners, they hang the newly-arrived practitioners up with only the toes touching the floor. Then they put a basin underneath for practitioners to eat, drink, urinate and defecate. The practitioners must receive help from others to defecate. The practitioners are not let down until they are transformed. The police from Dalian (city) transformation center went to Masanjia to learn "transformation" experiences. After coming back, they told the practitioners that Masanjia is really tough: The detainees eat rice that was decayed and turned into green color; dozens of people are detained in one room and use one basin of water to wash their faces, and the water turned foul; and the police there told practitioners: "What is 'Tolerance'? 'Tolerance' is that you are raped and you don't sue!" They brutally torture the practitioners who are not firm in cultivation. They use electric batons and beat them to force them to transform. When they release a practitioner, they enforce a huge fine. They won't release the person until they get the money.
[Beijing] Police in the Beijing Shijingshan District detention center indecently treated Falun Dafa female practitioners
On October 6, Hao Mei (pseudonym), a female practitioner from Hubei Province, went to Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa and tell the truth to the world. She was arrested and held in the Shijingshan District detention center. Since Hao Mei refused to tell where she came from or her name, she was brutally beaten by the police and put on ice to suffer the freezing coldness. She endured everything and did not give in to the police. Seeing that such brutal tortures didn't work on a Dafa practitioner, they started to treat her indecently. One policeman raised his hands to indecently touch and grope her body. Her tears came out because of the insult. She wasn't able to see the police number of that policeman because of her tears. After she went back to the cell, the strong-minded practitioner kept crying from the humiliation.
[Dalian, Liaoning Province] Dalian police illegally detained a Dafa practitioner while nursing
I went to Tiananmen to peacefully appeal during the Spring Festival and was detained for over 20 days illegally. They knew at the first interrogation that my kid was only 5 months old and was still being breastfed. But they still threw me into jail. I asked the interrogator, "Isn't it illegal to detain me while I am still nursing?" He said, "The law of the country treats Falun Gong specially!" After I was released, I was often summoned to stay overnight in the police station for one or two days. At about 10pm on August 21, police came to my home to summon me again. At that time only my son and I were home. I was forced to take my son to the police station. My one-year-old son also stayed in the police station for a night. The next day they didn't care about my son at all. He only drank some milk that my husband sent and ate two small pieces of crackers from a policewoman. He got nothing to drink or eat until after 5pm. Even the police said, "The kid is eating his hand because he is too hungry." Then they sent my son to my parents' home without my agreement. I was told that he cried terribly. I was sent to the detention center again.
[Northern China] Group study and experience sharing spring up everywhere and truth is radiating towards the countryside
Lately, the practitioners in a city of Northern China started large-scale experience sharing activities. The group study and experience sharing are springing up all over the places. Although the police are fishing for information, searching and arresting everywhere, the practitioners are stepping out of their homes to share with each other. A small experience-sharing gathering had over a dozen people; a big one had more than a hundred people. They studied the articles, "Rationality", "Serious Teaching", and "Master Li's Speech at the Western US conference". They shared their experiences on cultivation and spreading Dafa.
After the experience sharing some practitioners who had never stepped forward encouraged each other and decided to go to Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa. They let go their attachments of affection and fear, made banners, and went to Beijing one after another. There are also a large number of practitioners working on telling people the truth using different forms. These days, they posted the materials inside the office buildings of the provincial and city government or onto their walls. many practitioners left the city and went to other areas and the countryside to study and share the experience with the practitioners there. They used different ways in different situations and don't want to leave behind any untouched corner. They are trying to make the truth reach everyone and every family.
[China] Dafa banners hanging on overpasses and footbridges
On November 1, Dafa banners appeared overnight on the overpasses, footbridges and freeways in a seaside city in China. The banners read "Falun Dafa is Good", "Falun Dafa is treated with injustice", "Stop persecuting Falun Gong", "Return Dafa's innocence", etc. This has given the evil a heavy blow.
[China] Tens of thousands of Dafa slogans appeared over one night
On the evening of October 22, 2000, the practitioners in a southern city of China acted in the rain. Tens of thousands of small slogans such as "Falun Dafa is Good", "Falun Dafa is righteous Fa" were stuck onto streets and lanes, public areas, telephone booths, power polls, advertisement bulletin boards, propaganda bulletin boards, residential areas, factory dormitories, markets, movie theaters, postal boxes and bus stations. Some practitioners each posted more than 600 pieces that night.
[Jinan, Shandong Province] Practitioners in Jinan prisons were treated inhumanely
There are almost 200 Dafa practitioners in Jinan Licheng detention center. Most of them were detained after they went to Beijing to appeal around the National Day holiday. When I was in the detention center, I heard from a prisoner that a young female practitioner was put into handcuffs and shackles because she refused to write the pledge. She was forced to walk with shackles on for almost 20 hours. Her feet and legs were bleeding. The prisoners were touched and said, "Great! Remarkable!" I don't know what the prison guards thought upon hearing this. The weather is getting cold. The families want to send blankets to the practitioners in the detention center but were rejected. They were also rejected from visiting the practitioners.
All districts in Jinan City are having the so-called "Falun Gong transformation study class". They forced the family of each practitioner to pay 10,000 Yuan of tuition. If the family refused to pay, they would force the work unit of the practitioner to pay. Each class lasts three months. The practitioner will have to attend another class if he/she was not transformed.
The "Falun Gong transformation study class" in Jinan Lixia District is held in the hotel of the Shandong Contest School in Guodian Town. After the practitioners arrived on October 27, the class didn't start because there were practitioners on hunger strike. Six days after the hunger strike, some practitioners had chest discomfort and other symptoms and five practitioners were forcefully sent to Jinan Lixia District Hospital for treatment. Two days later, because these five practitioners refused the treatment and continued their hunger strike, they were allowed to suspend the class and went home with their relatives. We hope that practitioners can recognize the evil, resist and eliminate the evil using all kinds of methods.
[China] News about Falun Dafa truth appears on a website in China
At the end of this October, a piece of news appeared on a web forum in China: "It's known that over one hundred Falun Gong practitioners from nanjing will be sent to Guangyun (A poor region in the northern Jiangsu province) for education and transformation. The majority of them are intellectuals." This news was soon deleted. It's very unusual to see the word "Falun Gong" on a Chinese website maintained in China, and whenever it appears, it will be deleted immediately.
A female practitioner, PhD, is an associate professor and department chairman in a university (she was dismissed from her position due to practicing Falun Gong), and a deputy of the People's Congress in her city. She went to Tiananmen Square to speak out "Falun Dafa is Good" during this national day (Oct. 1) and got arrested. Then she was secretly sent to a place for "mind transformation". She led over a hundred practitioners there to practice and was detained. Her family wanted to visit her but the security refused to tell them about her whereabouts.
[Wuchang, Hubei province] Various crimes committed at Qingling Detention Center, Wuhan City, in torturing Falun Gong practitioners
Qingling Detention Center in Wuchang, Wuhan City, Hubei province is holding dozens of innocent Dafa practitioners. They are suffering from hunger, cold and various physical abuses there. For example, Ye Jianfeng has been detained in Cell 23 for several months. He was force-fed while on hunger strike, which caused his throat to be injured and infected. he was also shackled. Now he is nothing but skin and bones under such torture. However, his firm determination in Falun Dafa has never changed. Last month, the final sentence of the prosecution arrived saying he'll be sentenced to 3 to 7 years in prison. When saying goodbye to other practitioners, he just slightly smiled: "See you later, see you in heaven!"
I was intercepted and arrested on my way to appeal in Beijing. On the way back to my hometown, a director of the police station said to me: "Elder X, today you keep explaining that Falun Gong practitioners are good people, and we haven't said you are bad except that the government, XX party and Jiang Zemin all say you are fighting against them, so I have no choice but send you for transformation." Upon entering the prison, Zhu Xiangdong, the deputy director of the prison ordered the prisoners to slap my face, and my left ear is still ringing from that. Then I had to suffer the so-called "cooling head" in the cell, i.e., cold water was poured down on the head slowly. I had to take in the water since breathing was impossible with the running water. My stomach was totally full of water after several basins of water were poured down on me. My inner left ear was wet as well, and it festered for two days later. My mouth was hard and it was difficult to eat anything due to the swollen ear.
The head prisoner in Cell 23 (who is actually designated by the prison guard) Liu Bo once tortured a 55-year-old practitioner when he was on hunger strike. The means he used is very brutal: the practitioner's mouth was forcefully opened with a toothbrush which broke his front tooth, and his mouth and throat were opened by inserting a dead duck's head, then the food was brutally filled in through a tube.
A head prisoner in Cell 30 once talked to me: "The government and Jiang are too bad. Without power or authority, I cannot follow their path. Falun Gong is too good to be learned by me. When the government stops the persecution, I believe there will be much more people coming to learn Falun Gong."

[Dalian, Liaoning province] About 2,000 practitioners are held in Yaojia prison in Dalian city
News from Dalian: according to the insiders of the security bureau, they received a document recently saying that Falun Gong is defined as a reactionary organization and the crackdown will be intensified. Whoever appealed to Beijing recently will be sentenced to labor camp. It's known that the Yaojia prison has detained 2,000 Falun Dafa practitioners. Most of them will be harshly sentenced to labor camp.
The police of Jingzhou district in Dalian brutally beat up the practitioners who appealed in Beijing. They wanted to know who distributed the truth materials and the sources of the flyers and the computer. The deputy director of Criminal Team of Jingzhou security, Sun Shixue, commanded his team to beat up Dafa practitioners. They tortured the practitioners by punching and kicking them. They also hung up the practitioners with their arms and legs extended in four directions with handcuffs; only the toes could touch the floor. Some practitioners were hung for over three hours and the handcuffs cut into their flesh. This criminal team also ransacked the houses of the practitioners.

The police station of Harbin Street in Dalian developing region used spies to access the practitioners in order to sabotage Dafa. One such spy contacted the practitioners with the excuse of working for Dafa and persuaded the practitioners to step forward. He searched for the sources of the materials, Internet connection and he even delivered the flyers and Teacher's new articles to practitioners, then asked the police to search their houses to frame the practitioners. He also plotted to call out our practitioners, and then led the police to arrest them. Their houses were ransacked as well. At present, some determined practitioners have been jailed this way.
It's said that a practitioner who prepares materials will be sentenced to seven years in prison. Now this spy goes to work every day at the police station, and is going to extend his scheme to other regions. Another spy has showed up recently in this region to "transform the practitioners". We hope our practitioners take precautions against giving the evil any opening.
[Beijing] Practitioner Liang Minghua was sentenced to 5 years of labor education
Liang Minghua, male, 43 years old, used to be the service director of the 2nd division of Beijing Passenger Transporting Company. Last year, he was caught on the road going to a public trial (for Dafa practitioners) and was detained. Later, he was detained again for doing morning exercises outside of his house. Afterwards his work unit fired him.
Due to Liang's practicing Falun Gong, his wife requested a divorce. The court approved the divorce, gave all home property including the house to Liang's wife, while only $10,000 (about $1,200) to Liang. Under such a bad financial situation, Liang had to rent a place to live. Still, on around July 20, the local police kept asking him to give up practicing Falun Gong. Under the threats from the police, the landlord also asked him to move. On July 27, Liang went to Tiananmen Square to unfurl a Dafa banner. Because of this, he was sentenced to five years of labor education.
[North America] Shanghai police abuses Dafa practitioners
Last night, I called my father in Shanghai. He told me that police came the other day and searched the home without presenting any legal documents. They then asked my mother to come with them for an interrogation (My mother is a Dafa practitioner, who spread Dafa flyers to clarify the true facts recently.) My father asked them to question her at home instead of going to the police station. The police said no and took my mother away. However, when my father went to the police station to see my mother the next day, the police totally denied taking my mother away.
Practitioners in Shanghai need to be alert that we'd better not to be so easily taken away by the evil police. If they insist doing so by force, we can yell help aloud so that the neighbors will be aware of the evil deeds of police. The family members should also go to the police and insist on seeing the detained practitioners to exert pressure on the evil.
[Yueyang, Hunan Province] Some information about persecution of Dafa practitioners in Yueyang, Hunan Province
1. Liu Liyang (pseudonym), female, 47 yeas old. On July 17, 2000, police took her away from her home and detained her. Several policemen dragged Liu by her feet down two floors before letting her walk by herself. Still, she was handcuffed behind the back. She was detained in the 1st Detention Center in Yueyang. As a result, Liu's daughter, a 13-year-old, lived by herself for more than 40 days.
On July 19, several policemen interrogated Liu Liyang. They wanted to know the source of Teachers' new articles, but failed. Li, a tall policeman from Yueyang Police Station grabbed Liu Liyang's hair and dragged her backwards very forcefully. As a result, Liu's neck was hurt for about one week. Li also slapped Liu several times. Since Liu Liyang didn't give in, the police hit her for half an hour with a wood board about one inch thick, and forced her to kneel down (note: a common punishment). They pushed her to face against the wall, and then dragged her backward by the feet. Her knees, thighs and feet were all scraped raw and bled on the concrete wall and floor. Liu Liyang was hit with the wood board again for half and hour. She was wearing shorts at that time and it was very painful.
Zhang, a female director of the detention center once came by and asked them to stop the beating, but it didn't work. At last, one of the police grabbed Liu Liyang's knees and ankles, and made Liu kneel down. She stood up with difficulty against the wall, and she was in so much pain that she almost fainted. In her dizziness, someone grabbed her hand and made her sign the deposition.
After Liu Liyang went out the room, she saw many male prisoners in the hallway waiting to meet their family members. They were shocked by such a brutal torture by the police against a woman. What surprised them more was that, they could hear the sound of the wood board hitting her body, but they didn't hear any yelling from the pain. After Liu Liyang moved into a cell, women prisoners were also very angry upon learning about her experience. On the other hand, they all admired the strong forbearance of Falun Gong practitioners.
2. Zhang Baoqin (pseudonym), male, 59 years old. On the afternoon of August 15, 2000, three policemen brought him to the police station by force. Policeman Liu, clutched Zhang Baoqin's throat and forcefully smashed him against the wall. Liu also punched Zhang Baoqin in the eyes. After dinner, Zhang Baoqin was brought to a room of the second floor guesthouse. Wei, a 6-feet tall policeman beat Zhang Baoqin in the mouth 18 times with a wooden baton as thick as a person's forearm. Liu specially beat him on critical spots like the throat, chest and eyes. He also kicked Zhang Baoqin's throat forcefully. Wei forced him to kneel down, but he refused. Wei then beat Zhang Baoqin with the wooden baton all over his body. The boss of the guesthouse came by and asked him to stop the beating. Thus, Zhang Baoqin was allowed to sit down and have a rest. The boss also brought a cup of tea to Zhang Baoqin. However, after the boss walked away, Wei continued to beat him forcefully. Zhang Baoqin just recited Teacher's poem, "To live without any pursuit, and to die without any regret." Later, Wei was tired and asked another policeman to continue, but that person thought it was too brutal and didn't do it. This beating lasted for 5 hours until midnight. When the hatchet men were tired, they would have a rest and continued the beating later.
In early morning on August 16, Zhang Baoqin was sent back to the Division of Police Affairs, and his work unit was notified to pick him up. The director (party secretary) later arrived in a van together with some senior employees of the work unit. They were shocked to see his whole body swollen and bleeding, with bruises almost everywhere. They almost couldn't believe the police could be so brutal. The next day, Zhang Baoqin went to an official building. When he arrived at the building, some pedestrians asked him about the bruises, and he told them what had happened. The listeners all showed their sympathy for him, and were angry about the inhumane brutality of the police.
3. Four Dafa practitioners were detained at Linxiang Detention Center at Yueyang in mid-March. Because they read "Zhuan Falun" in jail, they were beaten for about one hour by 5 or 6 policemen. In addition, one of the directors in the detention center also beat them badly. After failing to force them to kneel down, the director hit them vigorously with a bamboo stick about 1 cm thick. Guo and Peng were beaten down to the ground, and their mouths and noses were bleeding. All four practitioners were bruised and bloodied all over their bodies. Two policemen dragged Guo backwards and stepped on her knees to make her kneel down. The Dafa book was confiscated and burned. To protest, these four practitioners went on a hunger strike for 5 or 6 days. In the end, one of the police allowed one of their relatives to bring in a Dafa book.
4. Humiliating by parading through the streets
Four female practitioners, ranging from 28 to 50 years old, were detained twice for appealing in Beijing. On the morning of May 1, they were tied up with thick ropes, and wooden boards were hung in front of them saying, "Stubborn Falun Gong Practitioners". They were forced to stand on a truck and were paraded through the streets in different towns together with two police cars. The whole process lasted from morning till afternoon, and it was videotaped for propagandizing by a van following them from a news media. This actually kept a record of the attempted suppression of righteousness by the evil.
5. Huang Wei (pseudonym), female, 43 years old. Yu Lei (pseudonym), female, 47 years old. In the mid-March 2000, they went to Beijing to appeal and were taken back by the police and detained. After going on a hunger strike for 7 days, Liu Fengzhang, director of the detention center deceived them into a mental hospital and forcefully to give them medicine injection. Their hands were injured in the process. They were also kept together with three mentally ill patients.
On April 10, they went to appeal and were detained again. One day, Huang's husband came to visit her. They were deceived into the mental hospital again. Right now, both Huang and Yu have been sentenced to labor education.
6. Chen Lin (pseudonym), female, 22 years old, a peasant. She went to appeal in March 2000. After being detained for over two months, she was fined 6,000 Yuan (about $720). Because she couldn't afford it, the police even went to her brother's home to confiscate his TV, refrigerator and some other home appliances. The neighbors were very angry over this. One of them said to the police, "Isn't money what you are asking for? Fine! Tell me how much you want and I will pay for Chen!" In the end, Chen's mother borrowed 3,000 Yuan (about $360) from that neighbor.
7. Lai Ying (pseudonym), female, 52 years old. Lai went to appeal in December 1999. After being taken back by police, she was detained for about 4 months. She was fined 2,000 Yuan (about $240). In addition, the police confiscated all the electrical appliances at her home.
