Since July 1999, the local authorities in Laiyang controlled by a handful of people following Jiang Zemin have committed countless crimes against Falun Dafa practitioners. What they have done is too ferocious to be expressed in words.
Here we bear witness to the actions of those vicious people who have brutally persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners, exposing their evil deeds so that people can remember what they have done against Falun Dafa and help us stop their inhumane acts.

Since November 1999, Wang has eagerly served the designs of Jiang Zemin, and has persecuted Falun Gong practitioners very fiercely. Wang has taken advantage of every opportunity to steal from practitioners and confiscate their personal belongings. Nothing has been too small for him to notice or too large to shame his greed. He has wrenched bills of less than one Yuan RMB [unit of Chinese currency/by translator] out of a child's hand and stolen tens of thousands of RMB out of practitioners' handbags. He is brutal. Wang hits practitioners in the face with leather shoes, whips them with bamboos sticks, and kicks them until he is exhausted. He also likes to handcuff practitioners to the heating pipes overnight night. He shows no favorites. Almost every practitioner who has gone to Beijing to appeal has been beaten. Wang makes no distinctions regarding age. He slaps teenagers' faces with shoes, punishes them by beating them, and force-feeds them with alcohol (editor's note: Falun Dafa practitioner's espouse clean living and do not drink or smoke.)

Since June 2000 these three have led twenty plus officials in Lanzi Town in staging physical abuse against Dafa practitioners on a large-scale. These Officials whip practitioners' bodies with plastic sticks and brooms, slap their faces and foreheads, hit their chins with flashlights, twist their arms, strike their legs and hips with wooden sticks and rubber batons, kick them with leather shoes, and so on. Practitioners have often been beaten so badly that blood flows out of their mouths.
Yu Hongwen acts like a fierce beast when he beats Dafa practitioners, throwing his fists at their heads and chins, punching and kicking their chests and ribs with all his might. He handcuffs practitioners to chairs, and strikes their backs and hips with plastic rods until blood flows from out of their mouths and seeps from their flesh. When one person becomes exhausted, another continues beating. . Practitioners are also handcuffed onto an electric pole in the yard in the evening to feed the mosquitoes. Yu has claimed: "The superior officer has issued instructions. Nobody will interfere even if they are beaten to death. Just beat them as hard as you can!" (They revealed that it was the Laiyang city police chief who had directed them to beat up the practitioners.) Dafa practitioners have declared that their human rights and the Chinese Law were being violated. Yu has said: "Beating you Falun Gong practitioners is not violating the law, and I have decided to violate your human rights. You can go to my superior and sue me." Some practitioners were taken away from home when they were doing housework. Some got beaten just because they went to visit their detained spouses. Senior citizens and children are among the abused practitioners. These vicious people heartlessly beat youngsters with leather straps, slap their faces, burn their hands and legs with cigarettes, and inflict various other cruelties. Also, each practitioner has to pay a fine of thousands of RMBs.

Since March 2000, Jiang has led twenty plus officials in Tuanwang town in conducting a brutal persecution of Dafa practitioners. Jiang leads the way by whipping practitioners with plastic rods and shouting: "Beat them to death!" Some practitioners pass out from the beating. They are then drenched with cold water to be revived and thrown into chairs for more beating. Sometimes they are sent to the local hospital for emergency care. However, these are soon brought back and beaten again. In July 2000, many people were taken away while they were working in the fields or cooking at home. Then they were all forced to the town hall and brutally beaten. Some had bruises all over their bodies. Jiang has also hired some local ruffians to beat Dafa practitioners with wooden sticks. He imposed heavy fines of thousands RMB on each practitioner. Jiang even broke into a practitioner's home and seized his tractor and his son's motorcycle.

The physical abuse against Dafa practitioners in Tange Village includes (but is not limited to): punching with fists, kicking, and beating with electric rods and rubber batons. In addition, some practitioners have been slammed into the ground and lost consciousness for over 30 minutes; some have been given electric shocks; and some have been shocked on the mouth with electric batons, etc. Practitioners are forcibly searched and all their money is seized. In the winter, their coats are taken away. With only thin clothes and bare feet, they are handcuffed and left outside in the snow. They are not even allowed to use the toilet. In the cold month of January, practitioners have been left in an empty room with open windows, and forced to sit on the frozen concrete floor for four days running. In addition, they were often brutally beaten. An official in that town once asked a practitioner while kicking him: "Is this called a human rights violation?" Xu Xi-shou and his assistants confiscated practitioners' crops, TVs, VCRs, cassette players, fertilizers, cement and tractors. In January 2000, on his way home, a practitioner was taken to the police substation without any reason and handcuffed to an outdoor pole for a whole day without wearing a coat. He was then illegally detained for 9 days. The fines imposed on practitioners range from 1000 to 5000 RMB.

The people listed here have completely abandoned the ethics of the medical profession, and have conducted cruel and inhuman torture against twenty plus Dafa practitioners in Laiyang. They have heartlessly injected and force-fed practitioners with heavy doses of medicine that are five times greater than the normal dose for a mental patient. Their purpose is to damage the practitioners' central nervous system. Both the body and mind of the practitioners are severely damaged, leaving the practitioners in a condition past endurance and tragic beyond comparison in this world. Some practitioners are unable to move any part of the body; some end up drooling all the time; some cannot sleep all day and all night and are always shivering. Dafa practitioners have told the perverted wretches who administer these drugs: "We are not ill, and definitely not mentally ill." Wang has said: "I know you are not ill. What I'm trying to cure is your making-the-appeal-illness." These so-called "Medical Angels" have totally lost their humanity. One practitioner was tortured this way for as long as 4 months.

Under the direct supervision of Xin, this detention center has cruelly tortured Dafa practitioners. The resident doctor Huang Bao-an has completely abandoned medical ethics. He treats practitioners as if they are on a death sentence, chains them to the bed, and does not allow them to move even a bit for fifteen straight days at a time. Even those on a death sentence are allowed to sit up. They force-feed practitioners, use the electric baton on those who practice, and lock them up with iron chains. They also require other prisoners to torture the practitioners. The prisoners beat and yell at the practitioners every day, forbidding them to sleep at night, and forcing them to do manual labor during the day. If the practitioners resist, Xin personally jumps on the bed to beat up the practitioners. This is very ironic. Xin regularly goes on the radio and tells people not to hit others.

Cheng often leads his assistants to break into practitioners' homes without an arrest warrant, and detains people for fifteen to thirty days. His gang often climbs over the walls of private homes to arrest people, ransack houses, confiscate Dafa books, steal practitioners' money, and even search through practitioners' pockets. Liu Hong-tao, a member of the police substation of the Development Zone, keeps the keys to practitioners' homes. He has snuck into practitioners' homes and stolen over 10,000RMB. Even the 80 RMB in a child's pocket was stolen. When the practitioner refused to submit to a body search, Cheng Sheng kicked him and shocked him with an electric baton.
These are first -hand accounts of brutality and vicious conduct that have been revealed by the practitioners in Laiyang. It is only a brief description. The details of the vicious acts of these authorities taking advantage of power and control will be exposed later. Every genuine practitioner has a story full of blood, tears, injustice and mistreatment.
