Hong Kong resident Mr. Zhu Keming, one of the two Falun Gong practitioners who had been illegally arrested and detained since early September for filing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, disappeared from the detention center where he was held; nobody knows where he is right now. His family went to the detention center demanding to know his whereabouts, and no information was provided. His loved ones are very worried about him, fearing the worst has happened or is about to happen.
Zhu Keming holds a Hong Kong Permanent Resident card, and his parents and one brother still live in Beijing. In the evening of October 14, they received a notice from the Public Security Bureau claiming that Zhu had been released on October 13 around 10pm. The Bureau told them to come to the Fangshang Detention Center, where Zhu had been held since September, to pick up his personal belongings. However, Zhu has yet to make any contact with his friends or family since then. His family became very worried and went to the detention center looking for him on October 16, but the guards there claimed that he had already been released, they said, "This person is not around anymore." Hong Kong practitioners heard about the news on the same day. They contacted the Hong Kong Immigration Department, and asked them to use official channels to locate Mr. Zhu and secure his release. To this day, nobody knows where he is. On August 29, Zhu Keming and Beijing practitioner Wang Jie mailed a legal complaint to the Chinese High Court, asking Jiang Zemin and two of his followers be tried for violating the Chinese Constitution and numerous other laws in their brutal persecution of Falun Gong. In the evening of September 7, the two practitioners went to visit a friend. More than ten police officers jumped over the wall around the home of their friend and took them away by force. They had been detained at the Fangshang Police Station Detention Center since then.
The courageous actions of the two practitioners obviously touched the nerves of the evil forces behind the persecution. At a recent top-secret meeting, they repeatedly demanded to use even more brutal force and do whatever it takes to completely eliminate Falun Gong. The fact that the sudden disappearance of Zhu Keming occurred under such a circumstance makes the development especially troubling.
Hong Kong practitioners once again ask the righteous Chinese leaders, kind-hearted people from all over the world, foreign governments and international organizations to look into this matter, and stop Jiang Zemin from committing even more evil deeds.
