Canadian Car Parade

As more and more people In Toronto get to know Falun Dafa and appreciate it, the practitioners in Toronto wanted to help the people in the adjacent cities obtain Dafa and know the truth about it. Through discussion, the practitioners believed that a "car parade" might be a good idea. Therefore, within 3 days practitioners made over twenty plastic boards that could be attached to the tops of the cars with the words "Falun Dafa", "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance". There were also signs that could be hung, or stuck, on the cars with sentences including "Falun Dafa Is Great", "Calling for Justice and Support for Falun Gong" in both Chinese and English. From September 22 to 25, Chinese practitioners had a 3-day "car parade" with the main theme "What has been happening in our beloved Country". On the first day, the parade was planned in a busy downtown area. When we were gathering in front of a school for immigrants prior to the parade, immigrants of different racial backgrounds came to listen to our introduction to the truth about Falun Dafa and requested Dafa material. Some people who had just emigrated from China voluntarily offered information about the suppression of Falun Dafa in China, and confirmed that the Chinese government indeed has spread many lies about Falun Dafa. Many people requested information about the practice sites near their homes. When we were about to leave, some repeatedly asked us to stay longer, and wanted to know more about Falun Gong. A line of 17 cars attracted much attention. People stopped to watch, read the signs and to request Dafa material when the cars stopped. When we passed by the Chinese Consulate, we delivered Dafa material to the consulate. On this day, we drove on Toronto's main streets three times. On the second day, at about 6:00am in the morning, over 70 practitioners in over 20 cars drove in heavy thunderstorms to London to attend a car parade organized by the University of Western Ontario to celebrate the school's anniversary. When we arrived, the thunderstorms stopped, which seems like the weather was helping us. We held 14 signs including "Falun Dafa in Canada" and walked following the slow parade of cars. This was the first time that the residents of London saw a Falun Dafa parade, and they applauded. Some raised their arm and shouted, "Falun Dafa", some raised their thumbs, some formed their fingers in "V". We had the impression that the people in London were kind, honest and had predestined relationships with Dafa. The parade lasted for 2 hours and the Dafa newspapers were in every mailbox of the homes that we passed. (NOTE: Please do not copy this in cities that do not permit it). After the school car parade ended, we practiced the first four sets of exercises for one hour, and then took about 20 minutes to distribute Dafa newspapers to the dormitories of the Chinese students. Then we gathered over 30 cars with practitioners from Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge, and paraded in these three cities as well as London. During the parade, since many people requested the newspapers and asked about Falun Dafa, we stopped frequently to distribute newspapers and tell people the truth about Falun Dafa. We obtained very good results. Our car parade ended at 9:00pm. On the third day, 8 cars gathered at the place where the first day car parade started. We went to residential areas where Westerners lived, and the eastern and central areas of Chinatown in Toronto. The Falun Dafa music was playing in every car. Since the people in downtown Toronto were already familiar with this music, they said "Falun Gong" when they heard the music. We followed our Teacher's teachings, "Use reasoning to validate Fa, use wisdom to clarify the truth, use benevolence to promote the Fa and offer salvation to people"; the evil forces will eventually self-destruct!
