Dear government officials of the Chinese Embassy in Germany:
Greetings to everyone!
During this Chinese Communist Party 15th period, 5th Central Committee Plenum, we practitioners from Northern Germany would like to sincerely urge every official of the Chinese Embassy in Germany to express on our behalf a peaceful appeal to all Chinese Communist Party representatives. We urge them to use the Party resolutions and State resolutions to stop Jiang Zemin from abusing the power of the state to commit evil doings and to halt all persecution against Falun Gong!
In standing up for the values of the universal characteristics "Zhen, Shan, Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance)," in upholding the pride and justice of the "Constitution of the People's Republic of China," in bestowing their trust and sincerity in the PRC government, Falun Gong practitioners in China are giving up their families, their work, and risking their lives to point out the mistakes made by the leader of their government (this is an act of true responsibility to the country and the Chinese community). However, instead of being protected by the country for their actions, what these honest innocent citizens get in return is unlawful detainment, being forced behind bars, being forced into labor camps, and brutal beatings, some to the point of being tortured to death. To date, more than 50 Falun Gong practitioners have been brutally tortured to death. These are people who practice "when you get hit, don't hit back; when you get scolded, don't scold back" (a virtue taught to Falun Gong practitioners in Zhuan Falun). In describing the degree of harm caused by Jiang Zemin, he himself used these very words: "Many families have been torn apart, many lives had vanished." With the past 20 years of reform and openness, this is a major step backward in building a more democratic legal system for China.
In the past year of persecution against Falun Gong, numerous natural and man-made calamities have been taking place one after another in China. In his futile efforts to persecute Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin has exhausted vast amounts of manpower, material resources, and monetary funds to act against his own citizens (Falun Gong practitioners) who are honest and kind-hearted citizens abiding by the principles of cultivating oneself and upgrading one's moral well-being. From what we have gathered, Jiang Zemin once again abused the authority bestowed upon him by his citizens to command the Finance Department to "secretly withdraw funds." A portion of those funds (amounting to more than 50 million RMB or more than US$6 million) was for repairing and building prisons to be used specifically for detaining Falun Gong practitioners. On Oct 1 (China's National Day) of this year, in order to capture and beat innocent Falun Gong practitioners who were peacefully making an appeal, the Beijing Public Security Bureau mobilized an estimated 5,000 personnel on that day alone. These forces stretching out from Dongdan, Xidan (in downtown Beijing) to the entrance of Tiananmen Square. It costs the country nearly 150,000 RMB (almost US$20,000) to feed these people whose only task was to arrest innocent, good people. Their efforts could have been put to better use elsewhere.
As the persecution of Falun Gong is against the will of the heavens and of the people, it has not succeeded. Over the past year, Falun Gong practitioners have demonstrated to everyone in the world the peaceful, apolitical nature of Falun Gong practitioners, which has now become an indisputable truth throughout the world. Our entire appeal is simply to return justice and innocence to Falun Gong and to return a lawful cultivation environment to our practitioners. However, Jiang Zemin and his accomplices not only refuse to think seriously and correct their own mistakes, but they have intentionally aggravated the persecution. They are currently labeling Falun Gong as a "Political Reactionary Organization." Jiang Zemin claims that the actions of the Falun Dafa practitioners are not just to voice their grievances about unfair treatment but are also acts "to overthrow China, overthrow the society," and he has created an excuse for further persecution.
These unlawful and criminal acts by Jiang Zemin and his accomplices have triggered the dissatisfaction of righteous Party members and of his own citizens. According to inside sources, during the first day of the 5th Central Committee Plenum, there were a number of Central Committee Members voicing their suspicions and doubts regarding the persecution of Falun Gong. They demanded that the Headquarters give a responsible answer to the entire Central Committee. According to people who attended the meeting, Jiang Zemin was enraged upon hearing this, but not a single member voiced support for him; Jiang Zemin did not attend the meeting later in the afternoon.
The power of a government is granted by its people. Personal interests cannot come before the benefits of a country and the people. Jiang Zemin's stubbornness in continuing to wreak havoc has caused his nation and the people enormous pain and suffering. He and his crimes committed as a leader will definitely be put on trial and punished. The old days of letting things go casually with a "30%-70% ratio" (a phrase used in China to describe one's record being assessed as 70% achievement and 30% mistakes) after death, or vice versa, are things of the past. Recently, the official acceptance of a hearing of a case against a certain PRC leader by the Federal Court of the United States of America is one example. Alas, this type of trial for justice has yet to be seen in China.
Not long ago, two Falun Gong practitioners approached China's highest court requesting an investigation to sue Jiang Zemin, Zeng Qinghong and Lou Gan for violating China's Constitution (all laws being passed have to obey the constitution) and local laws and for illegally initiating brutal persecution to harm and defame Falun Gong. However, these two practitioners did not get any protection. Instead, they were forcibly taken away by the China Public Security Bureau from their homes and have been detained ever since. There will definitely come a time when justice will be upheld. We sincerely hope, in the near future, that the pride and authority of China's legal system can be restored.
Please help to restore the People's Constitution, restore the pride of China's legal system, stop Jiang Zemin from continuing his evil doings, and return justice and innocence back to Falun Gong.
