After practitioners were arrested on the Tiananmen Square, they were forced to get on the police van. After they got on the van, the police started to beat them up with the window curtains pulled down. My head might have a lot of karma. The police took turns to beat my head and slap my face. My head became a boxing bag. The police said, "We are eliminating karma for you. You should thank us." I said "of course". But the police might not know that I did not feel any pain when they beat me.
(Note by translator: Falun Gong teaches eliminating karma and improving Xinxing (heart-quality, moral standards) by enduring tribulations without hatred or anger. )
For those who were sent to the Tiananmen police station, if they refused to tell the police where they came from, they would be back-handcuffed (an extreme physical torture with one hand coming down from the shoulder and the other hand coming up from the lower back). Moreover, the police would cuff the two thumbs together instead of cuffing two wrists together. This type of torture is even more painful and inhumane than the usual back-handcuff). However, practitioners still refused to reveal where they came from while suffering the inhumane torture.
Q: Where are you from?
A: From the universe. From the heaven.
Q: What is your name?
A: Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance).
If one refused to disclose where one's hometown was or if one's hometown police station did not come to pick one up, one would be sent to a large detention center in the Tong County of Beijing. Whoever refused to disclose his hometown will de denied food.
It seemed that there was a rule in the local government that if one goes to appeal for the first time, one will be given "education" (propaganda brainwash and/or physical abuse). 2 or 3 times will result in detention, sentence to forced labor up to three years without trial, or detention in hospitals for mental patients. The goal of the Chinese communist regime is that nobody will go to appeal.
