Four Pieces Of Cultivation Stories

[Note from Editor: This article was read in an experience-sharing conference held by courageous Falun Dafa practitioners in Lan-zhou City, Gan-su Province.]á

I went to Beijing on November 9th of 1999. I would share with you several stories I have heard.

One: Police Officer Gave Falun Gong Practitioner A Quizá

A fellow practitioner from Shan-dong Province was arrested by the police while he was meditating on the Tiananmen Square.á After he got on the police van, a police officer asked him, "Do you practice Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance?"á He answered, "Yes."á The police officer asked again, "Well, then, recite the article of 'Never Make Wild Statements' in the book of 'Essentials for Diligent Progress' written by your teacher." He wasn't able to recite the entire article accurately.á The police officer then tested him with several other articles.á He still failed to recite the articles accurately.á The police officer then said, "Take a look at that old lady sitting in the front.á She can recite all the articles in the book of 'Essentials for Diligent Progress'. She is a really good cultivator.áá You are not good enough yet.á Go home, go home to study more, then come back after you make more progress in learning Falun Dafa."

Two: A Test for a Practitioner given by Prisoners

ááááááá I was arrested and detained in a detention center of Beijing.á When the police officer showed me the notice of sentence for 15 days of detention, I found that they detained me for the groundless accusation of "endangering the social order and public safety".á Therefore, I refused to sign the "pledge of no appealing to the higher authorities".á After the police officer gave me a "lesson", he ordered the prisoners to "test" me.á At that time, three of us Falun Dafa practitioners got detained.á The prisoners kept on slapping the other two practitioners' faces with repeated questions: "Do you still want to practice Falun Gong?"á They continued such physical abuse until the practitioners answered "No."

When it's my turn, the prisoners slapped my face and asked me with the same question, "Do you still want to practice?"á I answered with smile and said, "Yes." They continued to give me a series of heavy slaps.á Four prisoners took turns to beat me.á They asked me as they beat me, "Do you still want to practice Falun Dafa?"á I said, "Yes."á They questioned me again, "Are you telling the truth?"á I nodded my head.á I did not recall how many times they slapped my face.á Finally, the prisoners asked other prisoners in my cell to punish us using some cruel torture such as "riding the airplane", "generating the electricity" and "taking bath" (the names of various inhumane and humiliating tortures popular in the prisons of the Chinese communist regime).á As they were torturing me, they kept asking me "Do you still want to practice?" My answer was the same, "Yes, I still want to practice Falun Dafa."á Finally, the prisoners gave up.á They said, "We give up.á This one is really a genuine practitioner."

ááááááá A half hour later, these prisoners again shouted loudly,á "You, Falun Gong practitioners, come over here."á They asked again, "Do you still want to practice Falun Gong?"á I answered, "Yes, I do."á "Ok, then, you come here to tell us about Falun Dafa."á The prisoners pointed at me.á "You, the real genuine practitioner, tell us about Falun Dafa."á I explained to them about the "Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance."á After I finished my explanation, the prisoners said that no wonder why I did not "fight back and curse back" when I was being tortured.

Three: Go to Beijing to Appeal by Walking Thousands of Milesáá

ááááááá She is a lady from He-fei City of Anhui Province.á It took her 24 days to walk to Beijing, coving a distance of more than 2200 kilometers.á She was once robbed and had only 6 Yuan left.á She slept outdoors, and sometimes she got soaked inside and out by the storm.á In the beginning, she was not used to wearing wet clothes. Later, she did not even bother to dry her clothes.á She begged for food, and sometimes she could not even get a steam bun.á When she first started the walk, she walked about 80-90 kilometers a day only, and her feet hurt tremendously.á Later on, she was able to walk more than 100 kilometers a day and did not feel tired.á She felt so energetic as though she was being pushed when walking.á She rested no more than three hours at night because she just wanted to double her walking distance.á When she saw the rail, she would imagine that this was the ladder to heaven.á When she saw stones or rocks, she thought about the words in Zhuan Falun (the main text of Falun Dafa) "In the Paradise, the tree is made of gold, the ground is paved with gold, the birds, the flowers, the houses, even the Buddha bodies are gold.á In the Paradise, you cannot find a piece of stone.á It is said that the currency they use there is stone."

ááááááá After she arrived Beijing, she looked for fellow Falun Gong practitioners by asking, "Sisters, do you have attachments?"á They would get together and went to the practice site like family members.á I even heard that there was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Xin-jiang, who traveled on foot for three months to Beijing.

[Note from Editor: To prevent Falun Dafa practitioners from going to Beijing to appeal, the Chinese police examine passengers in train stations or on the trains. So some practitioners decided to walk to Beijing.]áá

Four: Protect Falun Dafa With One's Life

ááá A little boy is Falun Dafa practitioner from Xin-jiang province.á After practitioners exchanged their experiences on the Tiananmen Square, they want to find someone to carry some Falun Dafa materials.á A lot of practitioners were hesitating, "Will we get into trouble by carrying these Falun Dafa materials?"á This little boy said that he could carry it.á He picked up the materials and walked across the Tiananmen Square.á He said he would rather die if anyone ever wanted to take away the Falun Dafa materials from him.

There are numerous similar stories as the ones mentioned above.á I have just picked up four typical ones to share with everyone.
