Case Description:
Mr. Yang Peizhan, 73, was from Tuanling Town, Jingmen City in Hubei Province. He started to practice Falun Dafa in 1999 and recovered from multiple diseases as a result of the practice. He was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2003 and was detained at Shayang Prison Camp in Hubei Province. He was severely persecuted there, and as a result he often had blood in his urine and developed edema all over his body. In order to avoid responsibility for Ms. Yang's death, the Communist Party agents allowed him to be released on bail for medical treatment in December 2006. However, the persecution had caused too much damage to his health, and Yang Peizhan died on July 15, 2007.
