Case Description:
Mr. Li Yuanbao was 59 when he passed away. He was an artist in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province.  After July 20, 1999,  he was threatned, harassed, detained and sentenced to two years of forced labor. After he was released from the labor camp, he was extremely weak.

Policemen still often came to harass them and attempted to force them to give up Falun Gong, but they refused. They did the exercises together, and six months later, most of his diseases were healed, although his eyes were not completely back to normal.

One day Li Yuanbao suddenly could not move one of his arms. His son took him to the hospital when he learned of Li Yuanbao’s situation. Li was in a coma when he was taken to the emergency room. The doctor in charge pressured his wife to consent to brain surgery. Mr. Li's wife refused because the patients who had undergone brain surgery at that hospital had died one after another. She read Zhuan Falun to him, and sometimes he opened his eyes and would come out of the coma briefly.

Since Li’s wife refused to sign the agreement, the CCP doctor said to her, "Falun Gong is a cult that the government opposes. How dare you go against us with Falun Gong? Just wait and see!"

On the morning of the seventh day, the nurses suddenly found Li awake and conscious, and his breathing, blood pressure and heartbeat were all back to normal.

At this point, the doctor directed the nurses to force unknown drugs into Mr. Li's mouth, and refused to stop when he began to vomit violently. Just like that, Mr. Li, who had recovered, died in the hospital bed.
