Case Description:
While hanging Falun Gong banners on the evening of December 11, 2001, Dafa practitioner Tong Guijie from Baicheng City, Jilin Province was caught by thugs hired by the Baicheng City Public Security Bureau. (Tong had been arrested twice before. Since Tong was found to have heart disease during physical examination, the police didn't send Tong to the labor camp.) While being jailed in Baicheng City Detention Center, Tong went on a hunger strike. On the 17th day of his hunger strike, the detention center decided to transfer Tong to Changchun City, Jilin Province despite the fact that Tong was in critical condition. Tong died on the way to Changchun on December 28, 2001.
