Case Description:
Dalian city practitioner Li Xiumei, female, 58-years-old, died as a result of torture on the morning of December 16, 2001. Li Xiumei was illegally detained in theYaojia Detention Center in Dalian city. To protest the persecution she went on a hunger strike. She was hospitalized when she was at the edge of death. She died after a failed medical emergency rescue.
